Seabond

Judy. I am a new denture wearer. I just got my uppers. I get my seabond at Walmart. Because I get better suction with a top plate it holds well, but still have the same problem with them moving while I learn how to eat with them, but I am getting better. What I love about the product is when I get ready to take them out, I rinse with warm water, then pull to one side and out they come. the pad is still on the denture. It kinda looks gross, but at least its not on the roof of my mouth. and I take a tissue and wipe it out. Then I brush them, put them in a dish with a tablet overnight. You have to cut it to fit before you use it. Because my gums are still tender, I cut them to fit around the edges also to give me gums a cushion, so no pain.

I tried SeaBond on top and after holding it for ten minutes it still wouldn't hold so I had to add adhesive to it. It did hold then but I was back to the yukky mess. Hoping after reline in May they are tighter. Barbara after your gums shrink some I hope they still hold as good.

I don't know if I did it wrong. I tried to follow directions. Will keep trying cause somedays adhesive lasts longer than others. Think our mouths are different from day to day, moisture, etc. I got Secure from Amazon. I called company they said some smaller drugstores have it. We need to keep asking for it in Wal-Mart until they start carrying it. Secure strips work good for me on lowers, don't eat real chewy sticky things though, nothing holds through that.

Patti implants are a fairly long process. Good luck with that. Let us know how it goes.

Lane, Have you seen your dentist about chip and poor fitting denture? Have you had a reline? That short of a time they should still be getting you to a point where they fit and are wearable. If they refuse to help you I would look for a private dentist, not a chain of dental franchises.
