SECURE Adhesive...love it

I want to start off by saying that I tried out SECURE denture adhesive and I love it. It lasts for about 18 hours and I can eat and drink without them becoming loose. They are tight and stay tight. You can only purchase this product through Amazon or EBay. It costs about $6-8 depending on whose selling it. I bought 2 and with shopping paid $20.56 which isn't too bad. They also sell a 4 pack which costs $20 and so I wanted to share with you all my review on this adhesive.

I am day 8 from my final 2 extractions (which were the eye teeth) and my immediate full upper denture. I dont have bottom molars, I wont be able to afford a partial for the bottom for quite a while. If I eat my dentures lift off the back roof of my mouth with the fixodent the dr said i could use back there away from the 2 extraction sites. I have a box of Secure ready to use as soon as I get the go ahead. Are you able to eat anything with the Secure, and can it be used with a soft liner?

You can order directly from their site at www.securedenture.com and I have heard that some have found it at Walmart.

I just got my secure Wednesday n tried it Thursday n it was awesome I ate for the first time yesterday, chewed n no movement from top or bottom dentures. I even chewed a caramel that was a hard candy that goes to soft caramel n still no movement. I was so excited that I'm placing another order for my mom from Amazon. I paid for 4 tube $22.00 which included shipping. And tops are still in bottoms came out last night and no after taste or gunk that was hard to remove at all!! AMAZING!!!!

I bought strips and cream, just to see which I like, and strips will be easier when I fly to see my grands.

Gina, you don't have to keep it in overnight. It all depends on how much you put in; like on my lower denture I put in a little and it stayed in half a day. And from what I understand if you rinse with mouth wash it loosens the secure bond up and I like doing that before I take my dentures out anyways so I don't have to taste anything even though with the secure there is no taste

Gem: I tried the strips and I did not like them at all. They kept moving and even would slide out under my denture (bottom). As for the top it would provide me any security and would become very loose. I've tried the powder and that works really well but since my
Gums have been healing I've been using the pastes. I like Secure and going to stick with that until something else comes along.

It wouldn't provide me any suction. The strips on top. I put would instead of wouldnt and couldn't edit anymore. But I love the powder and secure.

Theresa -- I understand that, but I have seen several comments on several different posts about using secure to keep dentures in all day and overnight ect. That is not a goal that I have. For me dentures are like shoes, I can't wait to get home and take them out. LOL. Anyway -- I have had a few cases where I used a little too much adhesive or powder and had a difficult time removing mine -- last night as a matter of fact. I don't want to have to leave them in all night.

It does sound like a great product though that I might have to use some day so I am very happy to see that so many people have great results with it.

It is cheaper here:  http://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-10002-secure-denture-adhesive-waterproof-zinc-free-1-4-oz-formerly-sec...
It is $5. or so, with free shipping if you buy $49.00 worth of things on that site.  Do a search on your computer and find the best buys on it.

Ah, sorry...I misread your message and thought the cost at Amazon for Secure was much greater than luckyvitamin.

No, I paid $22.00 for 4 tubes that was all inclusive with tax and shipping. My daughter actually bought it for me.

I have just registered for an account at Lucky Vitamin. I take a lot of supplements so I compare costs between a number of souces. This will now become one of them. Another place where Secure can be purchased for less is VitaCost (vitacost.com). It was previously selling there for the same price as it is at Lucky Vitamin right now, but VitaCost has gone up about $0.60.

Lizzy,
i been watching you on youtube... and you said I was crazy? My wife thought I was crazy for posting before xrays, no teeth and new denture pics on facebook.  I am still trying to get my lowers out after using effergrip paste on them today. I'm about scared to try the secure. I might have more permanent dentures than I want. Isn't that what alicia calls "gorilla glue for dentures"? Glad you found something that works!

Thanks ken! I had been without teeth for well over 8 years and it's not that I didn't have the money, I had lots of marital issues and things just got bad but now that we've pushed through it I finally have my smile back. My teeth were horrible. If u say my first video u could see I had no top teeth and only like 5 on the bottom. But thanks for watching and I will post more.

GEM - ideally you would get your permanent teeth somewhere between 9 and 12 months. Unfortunately for me my denture place is going out of business, or I should say closing this location, at the end of February. Thankfully the dentist said that my gums has shrunk enough for me to get my permanent dentures now.

KEN - are you kidding me, I'm waiting until my 26th wedding anniversary for my steak dinner when I have my permanent teeth. I only have to wait until the 23rd of this month.

LIZZY - I'm not sure what I'm missing with these videos, but it sounds like something I must watch. Can you please direct me to them? Thank you

Alicia: go to YouTube and search for denture adventure. I use my daughters channel which is Lynndsey ann Chavera. Think there's like 6 videos that I've posted from before surgery to after and videos on adhesives and what not. Tell me if you've checked them out ok.

Ken, are you getting any of my emails?
