I feel like a kid growing up. So many things happening for the first time. 20 days after surgery, today was my first meeting with company executives and our president. I was Soooo nervous. I had to talk a lot, many explanations. But I made it through. Thanks to all here who have been so supportive! I greatly appreciate it.

True. I can’t say I like the firsts. It keeps me insecure, and I was always very confident

Well so far I have been very aware of them each and every day.....all day! And then when they are finally out, my mouth and tongue are very aware of nothing there! :) My mouth stays busy all the time it seems like.

1 month today. All of the sudden, the top plate doesn’t want to stay in. I made an appointment, but they say they can’t see me for 2 weeks. I’m actually a little worried that I won’t make it that long. Even with adhesive, everything is very, very loose. The plate doesn’t even feel like it’s making much contact with the roof of my mouth at all. Feels like most of the pressure is on the side of my gums. Kinda afraid I’ll push it up with my tongue and crack it down the center.

On no! What about trying cushion grip if you have any, if not I would try seabond wafers with adhesive. Mine have started to become looser also, but not to that extent. 1 month and 1 day here.

HEY!!!! DON'T YOU GIVE UP CHUCKY!!!! Listen to your wife and kids....and me. This is what I was talking about before. It's bound to happen... unfortunately with extractions and having immediate dentures place. Remember...its impossible to know exactly how much swelling you would have from the next guy so the denture being made before extractions can't and probably won't be a perfect fit over time. O think you said before you have some different adhesives. Try different ones again and maybe even mix them together to see what happens. If things don't improve by Monday you call them and demand to get in sooner than 2 weeks!!! You hear me broski??!!

No luck getting with the dentist today. They close early. I’m in the US. Everything is staying in place. I might actually try the seabond things. Why not? Maybe fill up a little space. Supposed to be no mess. What the heck, right?

Haha. Nice. Yes you will. Not sure if I will. The skeeters are getting really bad now and we are also get really hungry black flies. Uggh. I'm originally from the "big city" here and may drive (2 hrs) down south tmro to see one of my besties and maybe surprise my mom with a visit. You got this...and you'll survive! Funny that song has been playing lately on my way to work and I love to crank it in my car. :)

Do you find yourself pushing up on it? Was trying to wait as long as possible, but I may need a soft reline now. I’m healing up pretty well, so I suppose it’s normal

Do you mean you feel the denture pushing up? Don't worry. That was great for you to wait. It's an advantage for you for what you paid. The longer you can deal and put up with it then you get your services that you paid for at a later date. I hear people getting charged for all kids of stuff if they used up what was include in their tx plan. You did good. Actually you did awesome bro!!! Don't be hard on yourself!!! We do the Tissue Conditoner at 4 weeks. Reason we do it at that time is we know they would need it again if we did it sooner and honestly service is business and we are very generous with our prices so we can't be giving things away. Today we did that alot. My boss was in a more generous mood then normal.

Yup. The upper. You need a Tissue Conditioner. See how things go with your goop at home and call them earlier like I said if you have to because you deal with the public. Uggh. This post may look horrible once I'm done. I can't even check the auto correct.. If they don't give or tell you tx (treatment) after the Tissue done brush it after you get it done. Wash it with your hands. About 2 weeks later or where it feels like it hardens then you can use your brush to clean the inside. If you do it sooner it may get tearr it away cuz it's temporary.

Yes that feeling of an air bubble is also a sign of an adjustnent. The Tissue Conditoner you get should improve that for now.

Yes! My tongue practically stays on the roof of my mouth. I have started using more powder on gum line and towards the back of the pallet. Feels like the back of pallet comes loose much sooner than gum line. And I hardly have to use any warm/hot salt water to remove denture. They are about ready to fall out by the time I get home from work.

No worries Josie! Complete and I permanent. I have appointment Tuesday for dentist to look at bottom partial that is driving me crazy. It has clasps and was great, but now it pops up a lot. They said I could come in sooner, but my schedule didn't allow.

All things being expressed are signs you are in dire need of an adjustment and a new reline. My office told me they like to do a new reline about every 4-6 weeks.
I'm sorry to hear they cannot get you in sooner. My dentist will get me in the next day, without question.

Unfortunately bones spurs happen and often the Dentist will charge a service to have it removed. Ugh. I have met many people that use a tweezer to yank it out. Not that I'm recommending that. You can massage the area with your finger. Hope you get some ease soon.

Wow this sounds terrible for you. I'd be hounding them every few hours until they get tired of hearing from you..maybe then they will understand the urgency. Report them, they are not fulfilling their agreement.
I may not always respond but I do think about you and am always rooting for you and wishing you the best.
Hopeful thoughts coming your way!! :)

Question for anyone...since my last adjustment, (I have a full upper) I've been using the poligrip powder and it's been fantastic, but I've been noticing after a few hours the roof of my mouth itches and after removal it is still very itchy for about 1-2 hours.....any thoughts?
I can only think that there is an ingredient that I may have an allergy too. Side note:. I do have spring allergies, and I also have skin allergies to any kind of heat &/or friction.
Any thoughts?

I was just wondering because after 6 mths you shouldn't really need to wear goop if you get a Reline or a permanent denture. That's something to look forward to. :)

I don't have any idea :( I'm sure you have thought about trying a different powder brand to see if the same happens., but they may all contain the same ingredients, I have not compared the Poligrip vs Fixodent powders. So frustrating when you find something that works and you think yes! This will be good and then boom, things no longer are going smoothly.

Ok, question for anyone. I also noticed no matter how hard I try, you can’t see my teeth when I smile. There also appears to be a decent gap between my gums and denture in the front. Is this something they can fix when I finally get in? I’ve been noticing my upper lip putting pressure on my teeth, so I decided to ignore the pain from the bottom and look at the top.

Chucky db recently put a new post up about the similar situation. You should read my comments on there. Don't worry. Unfortunately that's part of the guns receding and will improve with a Reline. After 6mths when most of it is done....well 1 yr but really fast and noticeable at 6nths you will be fine.
