I feel like a kid growing up. So many things happening for the first time. 20 days after surgery, today was my first meeting with company executives and our president. I was Soooo nervous. I had to talk a lot, many explanations. But I made it through. Thanks to all here who have been so supportive! I greatly appreciate it.

It's hard to say sometimes. You may need an adjustment 1. Your bite is too open. 2. The acrylic behind the anterior teeth needs to be reduced. Write this down and ask them to do that. :)

That's amazing! Yea hold onto those Reline services for when you really need them. If you don't that's even better. It means the upper was made well. Like I mentioned in the past its hard to know how much swelling one person from anither has. It also means your gums are probably not receding alot which is awesome! You're young so don't forget to leave them out at night to help maintain the bone density you have left for coming years. You are a trooper! :)

Yes the whistle should go away with practice of speaking out loud and the tips I mentioned before regarding the adjustments . It sucks but try and chew on both sides at the same time. That will help keep the lower in place and also the clasps that support your teeth get loose from time to time so they may need to be tightened Keep me posted on how that goes.

1 month today. All of the sudden, the top plate doesn’t want to stay in. I made an appointment, but they say they can’t see me for 2 weeks. I’m actually a little worried that I won’t make it that long. Even with adhesive, everything is very, very loose. The plate doesn’t even feel like it’s making much contact with the roof of my mouth at all. Feels like most of the pressure is on the side of my gums. Kinda afraid I’ll push it up with my tongue and crack it down the center.

HEY!!!! DON'T YOU GIVE UP CHUCKY!!!! Listen to your wife and kids....and me. This is what I was talking about before. It's bound to happen... unfortunately with extractions and having immediate dentures place. Remember...its impossible to know exactly how much swelling you would have from the next guy so the denture being made before extractions can't and probably won't be a perfect fit over time. O think you said before you have some different adhesives. Try different ones again and maybe even mix them together to see what happens. If things don't improve by Monday you call them and demand to get in sooner than 2 weeks!!! You hear me broski??!!

That’s what I’m doing. The powder won’t work anymore. Just too much space. The fixodent extra will still hold, but the recommended amount is terribly difficult to remove from my mouth. Like 30 -45 minutes a night.
Worst case I’ll call back for something sooner. I can always go sit and wait.

Or at least that's how we schedule it at our office. We don't always get people in right away depending on their schedule or ours but yup! Its time for you. Calm them and get your butt in sooner if you can. If not....gotta suck it up. :(

Ok well keep using the one that's working. Unfortunately you will have to "waste" more time removing it until you get in for a Tissue Conditioner. I think they call it a soft Reline in the USA. Btw. Are you in the USA and are there denture clinics legal invyiur state? Don't worry my friend. You'll be alright as long as they can get you in sooner if your adhesives don't work.im not trying to toot my horn honestly but we do our best to get people in asap when they're having issues. And we don't charge for adjustments. We are passionate about it and want people to be able to eat and be healthy and smile again. Don't give up.

Do you mean you feel the denture pushing up? Don't worry. That was great for you to wait. It's an advantage for you for what you paid. The longer you can deal and put up with it then you get your services that you paid for at a later date. I hear people getting charged for all kids of stuff if they used up what was include in their tx plan. You did good. Actually you did awesome bro!!! Don't be hard on yourself!!! We do the Tissue Conditoner at 4 weeks. Reason we do it at that time is we know they would need it again if we did it sooner and honestly service is business and we are very generous with our prices so we can't be giving things away. Today we did that alot. My boss was in a more generous mood then normal.

Yup. The upper. You need a Tissue Conditioner. See how things go with your goop at home and call them earlier like I said if you have to because you deal with the public. Uggh. This post may look horrible once I'm done. I can't even check the auto correct.. If they don't give or tell you tx (treatment) after the Tissue done brush it after you get it done. Wash it with your hands. About 2 weeks later or where it feels like it hardens then you can use your brush to clean the inside. If you do it sooner it may get tearr it away cuz it's temporary.

Yes! My tongue practically stays on the roof of my mouth. I have started using more powder on gum line and towards the back of the pallet. Feels like the back of pallet comes loose much sooner than gum line. And I hardly have to use any warm/hot salt water to remove denture. They are about ready to fall out by the time I get home from work.

Don't give up db. It's so common for people to get their clasps tightened on the lower. I get a couple people in very few mths. That's a good sign of enjoying your leaks again. If your upper was an immediate denture meaning it was inserted soon as you got extractions and you haven't had a permanent Reline after 6 mths of extractions or a permanent denture yet then you may need some follow up a done. I'm tired and heading to bed. Hi guys have a good night let me know if you need some guidance on this whole denture thing. :) gnight.

Seems like the seabond is working well. Kinda fills up some empty space. One of the bottom clasps is really loose. Touching more of my bottom lip than teeth. The acrylic clasps suck. I recommend them to no one

All things being expressed are signs you are in dire need of an adjustment and a new reline. My office told me they like to do a new reline about every 4-6 weeks.

Looks like a no. I called again today. Best option to get in early is come in when they open, sit, wait, and hope to be seen.
I let them know they are nowhere near as easy to see as they said they would be. One adjustment in a month?? Left 2 times without being seen. I feel like I made a poor choice of dentist.

I really don’t want to adjust them myself, but I need them to eat and now it hurts for me teeth to barely touch.

It’s not actually the bone spur that is painful. It’s the outside flange that has kinda dig into my gum and made a little shelf like place. It’s from the downward force when I eat

Ugggh yea that's some more receding that's going on in your mouth. Yea Monday is a long time when you want to eat and have pain. Adjustments usually take 5 min and sometimes quicker. I wish there was someway you can tell them you know exactly where the spot is and you will be in/out of their office.

You may ask them to refund you the services that they haven't done. Not sure if they will go for that. If you tell them your hours are long at work and you need to find someone with longer hours and "possible" hrs on Saturdays. Maybe that shpeel will help. The other thing is you have to find someone that will be more readily available for you.

At the end of the day it's your mouth and you're the boss of you! You can always move on if you want Chuck but you may lose some money if you do. This sucks. There are so many great people on here including yourself and urrks me to hear these experiences.

What gets me, is we talked about this in great detail before I even scheduled impressions. That if something is wrong, I need to be able to get in and have it fixed. They said no problem. Then we discussed it again when I got to my impression appointment. Then again prior to surgery. They said I’d never walk out unsatisfied. I’ve been in twice, and was satisfied 50% of the time.

Before I committed to this, I could call and be seen for X-rays, consults, etc the next day. After I paid my bill it isn’t like that anymore

Ok. I think I’ve had enough. My jaw/gums are killing me now. If the teeth barely tough it’s agonizing. In one month, I have only been able to wear the bottom partial half the time. I’m going to call again tomorrow morning and demand correction or discuss options to recover the money for anything they haven’t done.
I try to keep in good spirits, but this is past the point of being stupid. I’m pretty upset, as this now hurts worse than a toothache and seems to be only getting worse.

Hope you're rinsing with salt water as well. Not sure what time it is there but have you had a chance to call them? I agree and really don't recommend you fooling around with it. 1mm or a hair line is like a mile in the mouth. Wouldn't want you to file away too much and then you lose suction or some other issue happens.

Question for anyone...since my last adjustment, (I have a full upper) I've been using the poligrip powder and it's been fantastic, but I've been noticing after a few hours the roof of my mouth itches and after removal it is still very itchy for about 1-2 hours.....any thoughts?
I can only think that there is an ingredient that I may have an allergy too. Side note:. I do have spring allergies, and I also have skin allergies to any kind of heat &/or friction.
Any thoughts?

I was just wondering because after 6 mths you shouldn't really need to wear goop if you get a Reline or a permanent denture. That's something to look forward to. :)

I don't have any idea :( I'm sure you have thought about trying a different powder brand to see if the same happens., but they may all contain the same ingredients, I have not compared the Poligrip vs Fixodent powders. So frustrating when you find something that works and you think yes! This will be good and then boom, things no longer are going smoothly.

Ok, question for anyone. I also noticed no matter how hard I try, you can’t see my teeth when I smile. There also appears to be a decent gap between my gums and denture in the front. Is this something they can fix when I finally get in? I’ve been noticing my upper lip putting pressure on my teeth, so I decided to ignore the pain from the bottom and look at the top.

Chucky db recently put a new post up about the similar situation. You should read my comments on there. Don't worry. Unfortunately that's part of the guns receding and will improve with a Reline. After 6mths when most of it is done....well 1 yr but really fast and noticeable at 6nths you will be fine.
