You should be able to. Saw many posts here saying that adhesive does still work, but doesn't hold as long. I get my first reline today after work. Some have said without the reline, the adhesive would last 14+ hours, but with the reline, probably a few hours before having to reapply. There are many kinds of adhesive out there, so you might want to try different ones to see which one works better for you.

Mara, I am using the fixodent with scope and like it a lot so far. I just got back from the dentist and I had the reline for the uppers and they are tight and snug. Very comfortable. I didn't do it for the bottoms as I didn't see a need to do it yet. I go back again in two weeks for a followup. I did apply adhesive to the tops just for added security. I am even able to eat something with the reline where I was unable to without it. What a difference!!!!

What do you all mean by "wafers"? Have only had mine for 2 days now and having a horrible time with the bottom plate.

I'd like a definition for wafers myself.  I've been using Fixodent powder on my uppers and get along fine with it.  It holds securely, but is the plate is easy to remove....much easier than using paste adhesive on it.  Paste still works better for lowers.  My big issue is getting all the adhesives out of my mouth.  It drives me crazy when I can't get it removed.  Have not found anything that really works well.

You can get the wafers from the drug store. I have not used mine yet. I am still using fixodent with scope and it works well for me even with the soft reline on the uppers. I even ate non liquefied food yesterday for the first time without a problem. I have not seen the wafers come in strips either. Just like you said, have to be cut to fit as everyone's mouth is different. Denise, the brand I have is the store brand as well as Sea Bond.
