I am suppose to be taking my upper denture out since the extraction for the first time. I am concerned about dislodging a blood clot. Any advice or experience?

Well it is hard for me to look at myself
without teeth still... . Rinse with salt water often. It helps a lot. You will get used to taking them out. But the mental thing is different for everyone. Just remind yourself that it will get better. Your mouth will heal and be so clean! Its hard the first week...I know. You not alone

Looking for strength.. The first time my dentist took my denture out. I was so worried about the same thing. I was more worried about having denture removed the first time than I was the actual surgery and getting the denture. But for me it was easy. He took it out no pain no loss of blood clots or anything. From then on he told me to still do the rinses with salt thru out the day but to remove denture at night.I've had no problems. I know the fear of dry socket was huge for me but everything was ok and removing denture got easier every day. Good luck and hope its the same for u
