I heard you can make due with two implants on bottom. That's why average people can't get them....price. Also long process and no guarantee y that it will work. My son and grandson tried and they didn't take, body rejected.

Our dental school here in KC says they are normally half of private dentists. That seems high - like regular rates. My husband and I discussed it and he said if I wanted to do it he's open to it - that's about what we figured it would be at regular cost!

See my other post. We are also talking about Mexico for it.

I know most private offices participate in payment plans. Look online, or call and ask to speak to office manager. Don't compromise on quality though. I have been to two that have signs offering a "Care payment plan". Just save up for a down payment and ask to finance the rest. It takes a while to get process completed so it's like braces, paying as you go. Remember, it never hurts to ask. Worse thing that can happen is they can say no.

Hey All,

I came across a site that provides quite a bit of information regarding Implant-supported dentures. The site poses various questions you might want to get answers to BEFORE taking this leap.

Do your research and ask, ask, ask questions! Get more than 1 or 2 opinions before making your decision. Keep in mind that not ALL dentists are qualified in this field; nor are they ALL going to do what is in the best interest for YOU and your health.

I hope this site provides you with some insight.  http://www.docshop.com/education/dental/general-dentistry/dentures
