tooth color

In a week I will be getting 16 teeth pulled while being awake and I will have my Immediate dentures put in right away, top and bottom. I didn't get to choose much as what they will look like, my dentist said I can make all the choices when I get my permanent set. He chose a shade of B2 and to me that color looked yellow and stained so I am worried that for the next 6 to 12 months I will have dingy colored teeth. My question is does anybody else have B2 shade on their dentures and how do they look? I do feel it looked real but for $2300 I would like them to be whiter than what my real teeth are now.

I was told I can only choose between a B2 or B3. He said there aren't many choices I can make for my Immediate set but that I could design every step of my permanent set. They are already bought and paid for so ........ i am just hoping to see a picture of a full set with a B2 shade. If not, I will know soon enough huh. Lol

I new a fellow, a millionaire , who had his teeth whitened (he could afford it). It looked so silly to me. Pure white can be silly looking. I think it clashes with one's skin color. And his teeth stood out sooo much I was embarrassed for him.

I definitely know that I do not want pure white or bleached or "chicklet" teeth. And the B2 or at least the sample that I was shown looked more yellow than white.

i was never asked what i want mine to look like lol  sounds like the temp ones maybe only come in a couple of colors. he is being fair in saying you can pick every step for the perm. ones. believe me the color is the last thing you will be upset or worried about when you get the temp ones.

I got a full set that is slightly ivory.  Not quite as white as my real teeth.  But, I find if I wear a shade of red lipstick (doesn't have to be fire engine red) that my teeth look quite white.  That's a trick that models and actresses use if they have slightly stained teeth.

When I got my temporary dentures, I chose the color ''I'' wanted.. My temporary upper was ''White'', but my lower partial was more yellowish... I ''bitched & moaned'' till my dentist made my lower partial the ''same color'' as my uppers... We pay a lot of money for our dentures, so you should get the color you want...  Now, I have my permanent dentures, with nice ''White'' teeth that I love...
