Wax Try-Ins - What Should I Know Before I Go?

I am 1 week out from getting 28 extractions and immediate dentures, my teeth in the top plate were HUGE and the dentist has offered to remake them for me for free - ( I am currently wearing no top plate ) just bottoms. At my last appointment I expressed my concerns with the new ones possibly coming and teeth being wrong again and he told me that we would do a try-in before they got sent to the lab

My question is, when i go to try-in fitting are their specific things I should be looking for before I just sign off and give the okay? I really want my next tops to be nice and be able to wear them especially since I have been walking around toothless on top now for over a week and will continue to do so for 4+ more weeks.

Any and all advice welcome, thank you

Check the bite. Make sure the line of your top 2 teeth and front bottom teeth match and line up to the center of your nose. Make sure you are happy with the color. Also most important thing is don't get your perms u ntill you wear your temps for a year minimum. I got my perms. 8 months in. At first it was heaven they fit like a glove I even had suction on the bottoms. After 3 months they were extremly loose and I had to go back to using adhesive. You won't have to worry about perms for a long tim but I wanted to give you a heads up. As soon as i have 250 bucks saved up I can get a hard reline which will fix my problem. Only thing is, my dentist doesn't do hard relines on my bottom plate. Hope this helps OH also take someone with you to get their opinion. Good luck!!!!

Thank you very much for all the information I am literally taking notes on paper to take with me to my try-in appointment, I want to make the right choice the first time and hopefully come home with beautiful teeth once they are ready.
I know I am really new to dentures but after I saw the 1st pair they gave me for the top I was devastated and cried for days thinking I was going to have to walk around with the biggest teeth imaginable and now that I know he is going to fix them I want them to come back to me wearable.
I would really like to get my confidence back up at some point, even with wearing dentures.

I hope that your next reline does the trick and gets your dentures back to where you need them to be, I have realized from reading here on the site that the issue your having seems pretty common :/

I am in the process of having wax try in sessions before they make my permanent teeth. I have had 2 so far and the next one is hopefully the model for the permanents and they will be tried in screwed in like the finals. I don’t even look at them. I’m Just leaving it all to the opinion of my dentist as to how they look and line up. Neither of the first 2 try ins fit right anyway so I couldn’t get a real feel for them. It’s a long annoying process that has been going on for 7 months for me, starting with the extractions and then grafting surgery and implant surgery.
