What do I do with my mouth and tongue

I've been meaning to ask this, but keep forgetting. What should I be doing with my mouth and tongue when at rest. I mean not eating or talking.
Where should my tongue be? Roof of my mouth, at the bottom with my partial? Teeth closed, slightly open? These are things I've never noticed in the past. Now I'm not sure what to do. I notice it more now that it hurts when my back teeth touch.

Chucky don't force your mouth to do anything when at rest. Just go with the flow... :)

It doesn’t know what to do. It’s kinda in a panic and nothing feels natural. Does that make sense?

Hey Charlie! Sorry to hear you are a bit under the weather! My tongue never stops!!! Lol maybe it does when I am sleeping, but while awake without dentures in, it is in non stop motion along with my lips!! I try to be conscious of it and hold it still, but that does not last for long :(

I decided to eat some ice cream to give my mouth a reason to keep moving :) Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks guys! I'm feeling better every day. One more weekend to get through. Hopefully I will get a soft reline Monday at 3. It's felt like a toothache all week. Getting sick on top of that made for a rough week

Hang in there Chucky! You can do this!!! If your teeth were in bad shape and you were in pain just remember and think of what the future holds. You will be so much happier in no time. Keep your head up! You got this bro!!!

I took the bottom out. Tops don't want start in. No suction left, and it doesn't seem like there's enough adhesive out there to keep them secure. It's just depressing today. I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow. Today I'm pretty miserable.

Don't forget this experience you're having is one of the 1st things I mentioned you will go through. It's great that you didn't experience it sooner but the time has come. Demand the Relines on Monday and you will feel better but may need an adjustment after that. It's common. After the Relines through time you may feel them getting loose again. After 6 mths you should be Golden :)

I like it. At least you have an excuse. My typos are strictly related to poor typing

It’s reline day and I couldn’t be happier!! I have had more weeks of pain related to my partial than when it is comfortable. I look forward to at least a few days without adhesive and pain

I am so upset. They really don’t want to do a soft reline. They said maybe 5 months??? Really?? Right before I get my permanents???
I said I want to see a manager, and now they say they will only do it if it’s necessary. I literally had to hold my top in place with my finger in order to do a bite test. Everything I have ever read says a soft reline is done around the month mark. What the heck did I get myself into here. I have to live with these things.

I did. Had to talk to the owner. 3 hours later, they had to do what I needed.

I will make a post about that whole ridiculousness if anyone is interested. Long story short, when you talk the the owner and tell him his business isn’t living up to expectations, stuff gets done.

They may want to charge you to change the clasps. They would have to take impressions, 2 clasps. It's probably going to cost you a but. It's considered a Repair- with impressions, 2 clasps. At our place its approx $152 plus $60 per clasp. Yea it's CAD but I'm sure the Dentistt will charge more. It's up to you but maybe you can put up with it and if they break them do it? I hope your perms are made well too. Don't forget to get them to make you a Partial Lower Casting and not go in and they have a Partial acrylic for you.

Yeah, I’m sure they will want to charge if they did it. I might wait for them to break it and leave them on the hook
