I don't know about eating an apple but Secure and Fixodent are very good. You have to try different  products to see which works best for you. Polident is hard to get out your mouth but is ok. Good luck on your journey.

I don’t think you need to plan on eating an apple. Unless you cut it into slices. And good luck chewing the peelings with plastic teeth.

Yup, being able to eat certain foods with dentures is more than a "fit" issue, it's the fact that those plastic teeth are not as sharp, or not the same kind of sharp, as natural teeth.
We all know how those TV Commercials exaggerate things!

My husband laughs ahem he sees those commercials and tells me, “look, just four drops, it spread around and you can eat an apple, just like that.” HA1

I know that I was told that to bite down on apples and corn on the cob, you should press the food item against the front teeth to get a decent bite on your food. I had to have me front lower gum cut surgically lasy week so the dentist could get out roots that were left behind when I originally had my teeth pulled over a year ago. The stitches have fallen out but it is not completly healed, I will wait a little while to eat apples. Hope everything gets better for you.

I have used Polident--Fixadent and Secure..and I have found secure to work the best even with ill fitting dentures.  My first perm. dentures were made too big for my mouth and I am in the process of getting them re-made.  Soo with that being said I am hoping not to have to use much adhesive with the new ones, but if I do it will be Secure.  You can not buy this product OTC I purchase mine through Amazon and there is another site but I can't think of the name..you can google it and it will tell you.  It is a little more costly than the normal but I think it is worth it.

PS.. I don't ever see in my future an apple...but like it has been said unless you cut it up or get implants to hold them in I don't see that happening.  Good Luck if you can....

I went on the web site for Olivfix and it talks about using it on the uppers but not on the bottom. Can it be used on the lowers? I totally hate hate hate lower dentures. It’;s been since June and these are temporary with my permanent ones coming in December. I would give anything to have my lower teeth back, this is the worse experience I’ve ever had. Upper isn;t too bad but lowers suck. So can Olivia be used on the lower (sorry I got sidetracked complaining)!!!

Yes, you can use it on lowers, but don’t expect it to last all day, like it might on the uppers. ( Ihate my lowers too)
