I am not impressed with Fixodent. Have been using this adhesive for 4-5 years. The last 2 years when I eat anything that had sugar in it. I.E. Oatmeal cookie the adhesive dissolves completely. Anyone else having problems? I do follow the directions.

I never could get Fixodent to work for me.  It kept giving me a white residue around my lips and didn't hold my teeth in place, either.

In my opinion from use over the years, the best adhesive is SECURE. It can be purchased on Amazon. It offers many positives, especially with respect to loss of adhesion when using liquids.

I notice that all the adhesives are breaking down more quickly to this gummy substance, which is the same as if I was buying a cheap adhesive that came out gummy. I don't know what the deal is either, but have noticed a quality /dependability change.

The ONLY thing I have found that worked is the one no longer made....Cushion Grip.

I use the Fixodent Original in the blue and pink box with a silver stripe. It's what my dentist used in his office. I bought another Fixodent that did not work very well. Don't really know what the difference is but the blue/pink box works really well for me. Good luck.

I have noticed from the get go that sugar disolves any cream or paste on my lower denture! In fact if I have any residue in my mouth I just pop a sugary mint in my mouth - when it's gone, so is the residue.

The fixodent has been causing be to have stomach side effects the next morning. It seems like there isn't anything that gives the exact type of hold and security to stay in place these days.

I just PolyGripusing Secure and its not bad.......super PolyGrip hangs on pretty good....The change a few years ago with the omission of Zinc has effected all the adhesives......I still have 3 tubes of Fixodent, but rate secure and Polygrip higher.

I find that eating fruit such as grapes or apples loosens up the adhesive as well.  I have to replace mine at least twice a day (which is rather tiresome) almost no matter what I eat,

I use poligrip powder and that works so good for me. Plus the fact that I have a relign on my upper and lower helps out too. I did a relign with my dentist yesterday and then I put poligrip powder and it stayed all day and night. I couldn't even take them out. Literally had to pry them out.
