ME TOO. LOWER DENTURES DANCE. MOST PEOPLE WANT DENTURES IMMEDIATELY UPON EXTRACTION SO "LOOK GOOD" THEREFORE IMPRESSION TAKEN BEFORE EXTRACTION & DENTURES MADE UP. IN MEANTIME, YOUR GUMS SHRINK IN MAJOR WAY FOR FOLLOWING 6 MONTHS. MEANING DENTURES FAR OVERSIZED BY DEFINITION. ALL PATIENTS SHOULD GET NEW DENTURES AFTER 6 MONTHS WHICH WILL BE MUCH NARROWER & FIT BETTER BY DEFINITION -- BASIC BIOLOGY. DENTISTS & ADHESIVE MANUFACTURERS LOVE THIS. MEANS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ROLLING IN. SIMILAR CON WHEN EXTRACTING TOOTH & USING TOOTH ADJACENT FOR LEVERAGE, OF COURSE THIS LOOSENS TOOTH WHICH WILL SOON NEED EXTRACTION TOO. TRICKS OF THE TRADE, LIKE IN ALL TRADES. NEED DRUM UP BUSINESS !!!!

My dentist used my old partial and added the teeth that he pulled. He left two support teeth to hold the partial in. Told him to just pull everything but he wouldn't. I told him my partial had never fit right. If I bit down on left side the right side would pop up and the same on the right side. In 6 months I better not have to pay more money. I had no insurance and had to pay 5100.

Jani, i am having the same problem. My dentist told me they would resolve this when we do a hard reline. In the meantime, I feel like I'm chewing tin foil every time it moves. It's going to be a long 6 months.

I keep sucking to keep the top denture in. I told my dentist that I feel like I am playing the hokey pokey with denture on top. Now hum the tune as I write this. I put the top in and then take it back out. Squeeze half a tube of fixodent and put it back in. Move it around and wait 5 minutes and take it back out. Squeeze more fixodent and put it back in. That's how the hokey pokey is done! It totally sucks a giant bull's left nut.
Last week needed to go to post office and had taken them out cause they came loose. Told the Hubs that I wasn't going in with no teeth. He said no one would even notice. I said BS!! Told me the other night that I looked like his grandpa when he didn't have teeth. Nice....he is defiantly on my shit list right now!!!

Jani, we should never be forced into that annoying game of hokey pokey! There are a number of questions you need to ask yourself if you find that you have to continually reapply you denture cream, including how well your dentures fit without any adhesive and did the product ever work for you?

Our denture adhesive should hold for 12 hours. If it is not lasting that long, it could be caused by the following:
  • The fit of your dentures.
  • Your nutritional health and saliva flow.
  • Very hot or cold food.
  • Changes in the condition of your gums or bone structure.
  • The condition of your dentures.
  • The medication you are taking.
  • You are not following the proper instructions on how to use the product.
  • For creams - making sure you are applying to dry dentures
I hope this helps. ~Rosie

Rosie. My dentist said that I have severe bone loss. If I out the denture in without any adhesive it just falls right back out. I told my dentist that I think it is too big. He told me to use fixodent. I go back in two months. If I follow the directions on the box it is not enough to keep it in. I put it all around the shape of the denture and then makexan "X" across the top part. I don't eat or drink anything for quite awhile. Even if I wait lets say two hours and I want to eat soup or soft noodles as soon as I bite down the upper comes out and takes the loser with it. I have even gotten to the point of putting the adhesive under my lip to try and keep the denture in. I think I need to buy stock in your company because I sure am using alot.
