I had a soft reline today. Yesterday my dentures flopping all over the place. Even adhesive didn't work. Today after the reline They feel great. I even put adhesive on and it lasted. I actually got through a meal without my dentures popping up. How long does the soft reline last?
That is so great Julie, however mine didn't work (my jaw isn't right) so I don't know...I've heard that if it works and you can eat and they don't move around..that mean...you're only going to get better!!! I'm commenting because of your last question. Others will answer you and can tell you better than me, but I have to say....you sound so happy!! Like your worried that this won't last....poor thing...it will. This site is great...I had no idea what I was going to come up against and here there are so many going through all sorts of different trials. Don't worry.....be happy!!!! Ps...if you can eat salad...I'm so jealous.....giggles...no happy for you!!!! Enjoy!!!!
I'm really happy for you as I'm going through the same problem with my bottom denture. I don't need anything for my top. Thank goodness it fits snug. But I'd suggest speaking with your dentist about putting goop on a SOFT RELINE. If you Google it, you'll see that it's not recommended
The reline will harden and shrink a little. Depending on the speed of your bone loss. 3 weeks to 3 months. This is like a new reline that lasts around a week B4 you change it. It's a Gap filler. Worth giving a try. You use to have to order from Japan. Now you can skip the hassles and order from Amazon. You can use it on top of your Soft Reline. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KQJSEKC

Gotta love that new line. Mine seemed to chAnge a little more often in the beginning. I am now 3+ months out. I use adhesive still. Some days are looser than others. Definitely use adhesive when eating. I'm healing nicely and am looking forward to when things are normal and I get that hard reline and I won't heed adhesives. I'm almost there.
The soft relining from my dentist was until my gums ( about 3 months) . Once my gums become relatively stable and healed the soft redline became brittle and no longer cushioned . Then my dentist did a hard redline.. It was actually not too bad. the teeth seemed to stay better . It took a couple of days to get used to it, but it was much better.
