Integration with RTSports

On your website you say the following: "For Fantasy Football, we also offer the CBSSports.com Draft Analyzer and RTSports Draft Analyzer, but not for fantasy Football".
This seems like a typo. For fantasy football and NOT for fantasy football.

I just need clarification on what that means. I am specifically interested in the integration with RTSports. What exactly if any features does Draft Analyzer leverage in RT?

Dave, IDP players will not show up in the "Recommended" window because we do not have ADP values for them. Without an ADP value, they will never show in the box. However the Draft Analyzer still factors in projections and calculates fantasy points for IDPs. So you will still be able to see how they measure up based on your customized scoring rules.

The two main things that are preventing a successful import from RTsports are:

1. The league is not set to publicly viewable
2. The draft order is not set on RTsports

Harry, has your draft order been updated for 2011?

Harry, once the draft order is updated then the league should import. Let us know either way.

Captain, what is your league ID?

ok, so NOW... the league is public.. the draft order is set and everyones names came up.. and it doesn't give me the error message anymore. The big issue now is the scoring rules are completely hosed.. on rt sports we have it set as 6 points for a td.. when it imported it is has 147 points.. lots of crazy jacked up numbers all throughout the rules. So u guys still have some work to do to fix this.

Is it safe to say at this point there is NO integration with RTsports? Being in the software field myself, it sounds like an attempt was made, but with a few unadvertised stipulations around it (i.e make sure league is public, drafter order set) and even then its not quite ready for prime time? Or am I reading this wrong and this thread is just the few of hundreds others who have had no problems?
I can get projections anywhere, and the integration is of the "save yourself some typing" variety (import scoring rules). RT already has cheat sheets that are comparable to others floating around. I am looking to save myself the hassle of A> getting it to work at all B> not needing RT draft on one screen, and having to quickly modify the DA in another, back and forth for 3 hours....

Guys,
I have changed my league to pubic and I can connect to the software now.
There is still the problem with the draft order and the scoring is still way off.
My league ID on RTS is 55404
My draft is on Saturday if there is anything that you can do.

Harry, I'm looking at your league's scoring now. It looks like everything is normal with the exception of pass yds/pt. What is that value supposed to be on your league page?

Scott, you can export the draft results to excel but unfortunately there is no way to export back to your RTsports league.

Ben,
I just sent you a copy of our league scoring system. I sent it to the support email.
There is a lot wrong with the scoring system.

It looked like everything was cool here. I went for it, downloaded DA and I was ready to post that it went perfectly. Until I looked at the scoring! As some mentioned above, the scoring is way off.
This was the only integration listed! Is there anyone that can help here?

League is 7816 in RT.

Has anybody been successful with DA using RTS? I am ready to pull the trigger myself, and it seems as if everybody with RTS has had issues. My draft isn't until the end of next week, but I am very interested if this product actually "works" for RTS users.

Scott - some of the scoring was messed up. But, I just fixed it myself, and I do like it. The web version is much nicer then the desktop (in my opinion). I did play with the scoring and noticed the recommendations change. When I put my leagues scoring in, it does appear the recommendations there are what I would expect.

Only question to DA is about the defense/special teams. I have negative points in there as yardage allowed gets higher. I dont think its accounting for that. Some of the D/ST its recommending are questionable.

Other than that, I am pretty happy with the web version and looking forward to the draft. It certainly will make it more enjoyable.

I would mention, saying its "integrated" is a bit of a stretch. It makes an attempt to import the scoring. After that, there is no relationship with RT at all. I mentioned earlier, integration means the draft, which it is not with RT.

Ben - its the recommendations. For instance its giving me the 49ers and Chiefs as the #4 and #5 overall.
Chiefs finished #15 and 49ers #22 overall last year in my RT league. So I am curious how they rocketed into the top 10 this year, ahead of Baltimore, Chargers, Bears, etc.

I realize those are "projections" and the latter DEF may be a bit on the decline, but I dont see picking the niners that high.

NOTE: PITT Def/ST was a keeper by a homer

Another bonus is the dynamic charts at the bottom. I think that is awesome! As the draft moves along you get to see 3 updating images on best available, your own team points, but even cooler, the actual and projected graphs by owner. I ran a few mock drafts and watched them update. Nice eye candy for the draft as well. Big bonus!!

Greg, the Bears are not on the decline :p just watch!

Anyways, yeah it seems a little high for the 49ers. Are the scoring rules for DT for your league pretty basic as far as turnovers and yards allowed? Maybe you don't award much for defensive/special teams TDs? Either way keep in mind that we are doing daily data updates (we should be doing one by the end of the day Saturday) so these could change before your actual draft.

Also we appreciate the kind words on the dynamic graphs. This is definitely my personal favorite feature and why I personally use the web version for my drafts.

Ben, I am attaching it. I dont think they are too unique. The more points your defense allows, the further the deduction. What is "Every Yard Allowed = Infinity" do? We do give 6 per TD for either D or ST.
If it accounts for the negative, then I would not have expected KC and SF to come in so high. If it does, then ok.

Yes for the dynamic graphs, the one I posted was just after I posted keepers. But running the mock I got to see it in action.
What is the color red indicate? As far as whats available by position, does that show when you are say going from elite to middle of the pack, etc?

Yeah I see what you are saying. I'm looking at one of my leagues right now, which does not use as many scoring tiers as your league (in regards to points allowed but is pretty similar otherwise) and they are ranked 9th.

Just out of curiosity where are the Chargers ranked for you? For me they are 24th but should be around the position where the Niners are. I'm wondering if in our last update we mixed up the mapping or projections between these two teams.

Are you referring to the red in "Best Available by Position" graph? If so, that refers to the point value that you missed when the top players from that position have gone off the board, based on your position in the draft.

Its odd, and maybe I am looking at this wrong. Under "Player Analysis->Defense" it pops open a window and it appears to be sorted by ADP. Those look right, or at least what I would think.
Its the main window where the recommendations show up. When I select "DT" to the right, the order is different from the ADP order, which I expect, but it has KC and SF #6 and #7 now. Chargers are below them at #9.

Yes for the red. I noticed during the mock it goes red alot. OK, cool!
