Do I have to enter my middle name when making a booking? What do I do if I haven't?

when making a booking I put my wifes name and surname but forgot her middle name which appears on her passport ,can I amend It on the internet ?

i have made a recent booking and only added my first name and surname, leaving out my middle name...will i still be able to fly out?

Let me assure you that middle name is not required. It will be perfectly enough just to put the first and last name.

Hi! I've just booked a flight from Italy to Portugal and I wrote my name exactly as it is in my ID and Passport, three names (1 name + 2 surnames). As I told before, there is no misspelling but my two surnames appear without a space between them on my boarding pass, although I'm completely sure I've correctly typed that space. For example, instead of "DONALD KOBAIN, KURT" it's written "DONALDKOBAIN, KURT". Is there a problem or is this the normal way easyjet fills the names? I understand this is a minor issue but I was just wondering if it is OK. Thank you!

That's perfectly fine and your names can be written together. You don't have to change anything :)

Hi I've recently booked a flight to Milan and one of the persons names on the booking has three first names on her passport, for example Given Name: Sophie Joanne Savannah. And I have only given the First name as Sophie and I'm unsure as to whither it will need to be amended and all three first names put in? The surname and everything is correct and it's only the omission of the two names thats concerning me. My Confirmation number is EJNR1H7

We only require the first and the last name, so you do not have to change anything on the booking.

Hi, my partner booked some flights for us at the weekend forgetting that my name is stated Heather Anne Kennedy on my passport as I am known as Anne and he completely forgot about Heather. Will I be allowed to fly or should the name be changed? We haven't added the API to the booking yet.The booking reference is:

Hello, I was booking flights and entered the first and middle name (as appears on the passport) under the "first name" category on the easyjet website as there was no option for a middle name. I entered "Sarah Maree" under first name, and in the booking confirmation email this is how my name appears. However on the boarding pass it states "Sarahmaree" with no space. Is this ok? Thanks!

Hi Sarah,

I'd delete 'Maree' from the booking - it's not necessary to add middle names. I can do that for you free of charge, if you confirm your booking number. As long as your first name matches the one on your passport, it's perfectly fine.

Hi Sarah,

All names have been corrected right now. You will receive two new booking confirmations - please ignore the first one, as it will be for 'Erine' instead of 'Erin' - my mistake, sorry :)

You can also print new boarding passes online now.

hi my mums just booked me some tickets and left out my 2 middle names. wondered if this would be a problem or if I should have this corrected as i'm getting the last flight home on that day for a family occassion so dont want any trouble!

That's perfectly fine, as long as your booking has your first and last name, and these matches the ones on your passport or ID, we will accept it :)

I just called Easyjet to confirm my flights for tomorrow morning (booking ref EJQFXDJ) and realised that I booked my sister's intitals (first name and middle) and her full surname so it reads C A Thomas rather than Cecilia A Thomas, as it does in her passport. Will we have problems at the airport?

I have just booked return flights (booking ref EJS4T8X) for my parents and sister (in Spain) to visit me here in the UK and when I asked them about their passport details to provide the advanced passenger information, I realised I was missing the christian prefix "María de" ("Mary of").
Their names, as they are in the booking now:
Mr Aurelio Arranz Niño
Mrs Petra Carreño Peñas
Mrs Sagrario Arranz Carreño

In their passports, their names read with the "María de", i.e.
Mrs María Petra Carreño Peñas
Mrs María del Sagrario Arranz Carreño

but in practical terms (some documents, debit cards, etc) their first names normally don't use the "Mary of" prefix. Will it be a problem for them to fly or do their names need to be changed? I think it is similar to the missing middle name issue other passengers are experiencing. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

I have made a reservation for 3 people to fly to amsterdam on friday (return on monday). There was only the option of entering first name and surname. The API also only shows first name and surname however our passports all display middle names. Will this be okay.

Yes, that's perfectly fine Phil. As long as the booking confirms first and last name of each passenger, you don't have to worry about anything :)

My company have just booked a flight from London to Edinburgh for me but my middle name and surname was used.

My full name is Omotayo Collins James but the flight was booked using just Collins James. Flight ref is EJV11SM

I booked a trip for my parents, and the names are:
SANTIAGO VIVANCO
MARIA MERINO
These are their first names and Last name, but in the passport they also put the Middle name and second last name (or mothers name), is it necessary to change these?
Their complete names should be
SANTIAGO OSWALDO VIVANCO FREILE
MARIA ELVIRA DEL CONSUELO MERINO CABEZAS

Does it matter? since my moms name is like a kilometer long!

Hello,
I am very worried. I made a booking for 4 from Zurich to London and only put our first name and last names, as there was no where for a middle name. We all have middle names on our passport. It says it is 56 chf per/person to change the names. Is this necessary or will we be ok with just the First and Last name?

Hello EasyJet, thanks for responding. Am in a similar panic attack right now - have family of 5 going Venice to Malta, and no middle names are on tickets, but appear on passport. From all the blogs I am reading - this should be a problem. Both legal first and last names are on reservation. Any comments would be appreciated - sleepless in Canada :-(

My sister booked our tickets for our trip to berlin and put my first and middle name in the same field, so after the online check in, we received our boarding cards. The problem is that my first name appears as AIKATERINICHRISTINA ANASTASOPOULOU instead of AIKATERINI CHRISTINA ANASTASOPOULOU (as appears on the passport).
AIKATERINI is my first name, CHRISTINA my middle name and ANASTASOPOULOU my last name. The flights numbers are 4604 and 4605. Booking reference is EJT2WMQ.
It that ok or my name must be changed?

There's no need to change your name, it is perfectly fine the way it is right now. We don't require to put spaces between the names, and the way your booking looks right now is perfect :)

Hi there, I really hope you can help me...
I have booked flights for a friend under the name Jackie Smith when it should actually be Jacqueline Smith. As I am not changing the actual person flying, is there any way I can get this changed without the charges? They work out about three times the amount of the flight.

We don't require middle names on bookings, so 'Aaron Churney' is perfectly fine and acceptable. You don't have to change anything on the booking :)

Hi there EasyJet team,

I forgot to add my middle name to my booking (reference EJSC815). My name is Julie Eva Parisien but I did not enter EVA on the booking.

I just checked the booking and it's perfectly fine the way it is. There's no need to add middle name, as we don't require that on the reservation, even if your passport confirms it.
