Well this doesn't sound good... Here are a couple of questions that could help us figure out what's going on...
1. Have you upgraded your iPhone to the recent 4.0.2 OS?
2. Are you using the latest version of the app? 1.7.2

When you launch the eBay Mobile app, what happens? Does it not launch at all? Or does it launch but hangs on login or something?
Are you using Wifi or 3G when you use the eBay app?
Have tried rebooting your iPhone? If not, please try that and let me know if anything has improved.
When the app first stopped working it would go as far as the logo screen then abort loading and close.
I unistalled and reinstalled the app. Not it goes as far as the user agreement. When I tap agree, it doesn't load and simply closes.
I have uninstalled and installed multiple times. I have done in a 3G network and also by wifi
I loaded the ebay selling app to see it it would work - and it does. All other apps on my iphone work without issue.
I don't feel like I am anticipating your questions and therefore not helping you help me get to an efficient resolution. Is there a support contact line that can be called?
