Hm. I see I needed to use the sarcasm font. No, this was a normal session typing, and while I do type in excess of 50 wpm, in this case it instead didn't apparently notice any typing until the end.

Yes, I got that message. I was trying to be tongue-in-cheek right back. Don't you wish there WERE a 'sarcasm font'. I wonder how one goes about 'inventing that app', and making millions and millions of dollars for it. Hmmm....

Err... You know, I do hit 98 wpm naturally, but that's on a good day. It is not HUMANLY possible to hit that many wpm without being a c/p'er. No offense.

Good God, did you not even read the replies above? This was a bug in the web page -- it didn't count my normal 50-odd wpm, it just noticed my words at the end. That's why I put this on a support forum.

I had something similar to this yesterday, and at the time I noticed that when trying to save my words along the way it sometimes took longer (my wireless connection can be a bit hit and miss in the room I was writing in).

It may be an issue with the site, but it may also be an issue with my connection.

In my case the spike was half way through, which may or may not coincide with when I force-saved (Ctrl-S) after seeing the little flashing dots in the bottom right corner go for quite a while (I wanted to avoid an accidental distraction count because the connection was poor).

Could easily have been a connection issue -- maybe at the server end, as I'm connected by wire. That's certainly an explanation that makes sense.
