FLOW COMPENSATION BLOCK (PAC)

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I have a few queries related to the “FLOW COMPENSATION BLOCK” in the PAC T2750,

Are my following assumptions correct,

1. P ref – Design Pressure of Flow element.
2. T ref – Design Temperature of flow element.
3. P abs – Press In + 14.7 psi.
4. T abs – 273 K or 0 Deg C.

    The "FLOWCOMP" block is reasonably well documented in the "LIN Blocks Reference Manual". The manual is installed alongside the tools software (currently called "PAC Software"). Here is an extract for the fields that you asked about:

    Pref.

    Reference pressure, having the same units as Pabs. Pref is an excess pressure and is used in the density correction
    factor calculation to scale measured pressure values.

    Tref.

    Reference temperature, having the same units as Tabs. Tref is used in the density correction factor calculation to
    scale measured temperature values.

    Pabs.

    Absolute atmospheric pressure, relative to a vacuum. Pabs is used to convert excess pressure values to the
    absolute values required in the density correction factor calculation.

    Tabs.

    The temperature on the absolute scale that is equivalent to zero degrees on the corresponding relative scale.
    E.g. 273.200 (K) equates to 0 (°C) approximately. Tabs is used to convert relative temperature values to the absolute
    values required in the density correction factor calculation.
