Modbus communication with Eurotherm 3504

Is there a Modbus Application Note for the 3504 Controller? Where can I find the registers to address to configure control, PV, setpoint profile, read data, etc.

    Hello Alejandra,
You would typically configure/setup the basic functions of 3504 using our itools software(USB to CPI clip - Itools/NONE/USB) or via the quick start codes using the front buttons.
All the Modbus registers are available in the User Guide or via itools - Once you've opened a 3504 New Clone File, then go to Help>Device help>Scada.

Itools can be downloaded from here(197MB) : http://www.eurotherm.co.uk/products/t...
    Regards, Jon

  • Thank Jon you for your fast response.
Howeve I am still having 2 questions:

1.I was able to access the address map. However I cannot seem to find some of the addresses: IO, type,Units, etc..
I would like a Labview VI running on a PC to be able to configure these and other parameters. Is this possible or should I configure them with itools and then on Labview read and write the ones that have addresses.

2.From the clone templates I find several options 3504 vxxx. How can I find which is my v number?

    Thank you very much
