No CommsStatus with Modbus TCPIP

EPower with Ethernet: the two status words give no information
the network (1921) is every time 0 (run) and the CommsStatus in Faultdet (1706) is everytime 1. If the comms is broken I will switch to another setpoint.

  • Hi Deiter. I guess you are looking for a network timeout when the comms fails, is that correct?
You will need to write a timeout value into the PNDevNum parameter which has to be written too repeatedly by the application to prevent a comms watchdog occuring. If a comms watchdog does occur then the faultdet flag can be used to switch your setpoint. Look at the online help with these 2 parameters in Itools for a further explaination.
