T800 froze once and we had to restart. Now i Review is not getting the data now

Hi,

We have a T800 that froze once in early 2015. After a restart it still write data to the USB flash card, but Review is not getting any data now. When looking at the files using 'File Services' only files from 2012 can be seen, but prior to the restart, Review did receive files regularly.

Any idea to where i can find the solution?

  • Hi Kasper

This can be a tricky problem and related to actual application configured.
Normally Review reads from internal memory (H:)
Data Transfer to USB (A; or B:) is initiated by manual intervention from the Menu.

Using Menu> System > FB Mgr find LGROUP and LogDev function Block and see how it is setup and if Logging is Running (State.
If you have Lintools running and have access to either database or instrument it would make life easier.

Secondly; check and contact who has configured and supplied your system.

    Hopes this helps a little.

  • Hello Jens

If you have lintools operational and can monitor the T800 then it is easy.
Open database Click Online and Connect.
System will tell you if you are connected or not
Open a block and if Alarms field show Software then you are not connected.

Otherwise if you open Eurotherm Network Explorer and see the T800 device you can browse to its memory and see the configuration files.

3 ways on changing the Logdev device to H
    Check also LGroup FileType

    1. from Instrument display;
Stop the database from running do not unload.
Goto menu > System . Open FB Mgr (Function block manager)
Find the Logdev block and change device B to H
Open the T800 block goto Options and fullsave the database to instruments memory.
    Restart the database

    2. If you have the original configuration files available.
Configuration may be a single *.dbf or multiple (Layered) *.dbf's
Locate the Lgroup and LogDev blocks in a file and change.
    Save => Buiild => Download
    Done

    3. If you do not have the original files.
Copy the T800*.dbf from instrument E: location to computer.
Open this (ignore error message )
Locate the Lgroup and LogDev blocks in a file and change.
Save and copy back to instrument E:
    Restart the Instrument.

This should do it and depending the settings after some time logfiles should be available to Review.

    Good luck
    martin

  • Hello Jens

Good to hear that you have succeeded.
    Messages in Review come due to certain events;
Look for DR_ANCHP blocks for Analogue alarms
Look for DR_DGCHP blocks for logic alarms.
They may be triggered by several events eg. from SFC or Recipe.
Messages are listed to the name of that block.
Names may be masked by the use of a .UYN which is a text file..

Text may also appear if you are using Batch block.
Then look for a .UYB text file.
Do not mess up file structure.

Please note T800 is obsolete and can be replaced by Eycon_20.
I do know some used units are available on e-bay eg.

    Good luck
    Martin

Hi Martin, hope you had a good weekend
I'm not able to locate these messages and I can't seem to find the UYB text file.
Just to be shure that we are talking about the same, I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean.

  • Goodmorning Jens

These messages originate from the system on powering up T800 and from Batch&Recipe handling.
Certain options are set in a DR_Alarm type of block.
Look for Bat_Ctrl and associated recipe.

Callibr.UYR refers to a recipe file (also textual)
05-08-12 Looks like a either a Bat_Ctrl or SEQ block.

Standby and Auto I can not relate directly may be you can if you did some handling at those times.

    So far so good
    Good luck
    Martin

    Hi Martin

The Standby, Reset and Auto with my name in Brackets are the ones we would like to change. They are hooked up to some buttons on the screen.

The only place I can find the text is in the screen editor. see pic. and in the .UXP file

  • Hello Jens

Then just edit the text between the " ".
Download the build OIFL file to the T800 and restart.

    Thats all.

    Succes
