Time Schedule for 3216 Oven Controller

We have lots of ovens (20+) with 3216 controllers in them. I'd like to set a 7 day time schedule into them so that they turn off at night and turn back on in the morning. Also, we need to be able to schedule them to be off at the weekends but have the ability to easily override this should we decide to run overtime.

How can I do this?

I could get an off the shelf 240V outlet timer but this seems very crude - the power sockets are also inaccesible for our production staff so its not practical either. We have lots of network outlets available but have security concerns with Wifi.

Can anybody help?

    Hello Patrick,

Unfortunately you cannot do this within the 3216 without external devices.
There is no clock function just a program profile (available via upgrade).

If you have a digital/contact input you could use this to place the unit into Standby (outputs off) from an external source, such as a timer etc.
This would only require a voltage free contact from the timer relay.

Not sure if either are suitable from your comments above.
