Selling unwanted items
why can't we sell crappy items we don't want that we win from the amulet wheel back to evony? who needs 3 or 4 ritual of pacts? or quarry tools when you have no quarrys

I like the basic idea and many of the variations posted above. That said, I try to be mindful that most of the unwanted items are items that were given to me for free, so I have not lost anything by having them.
Evony, of course, is a business that has certain financial needs and goals -- an item-return system does little (if anything) to help Evony meet its profit goals. (The exception being the option to pay for an exchange, which could generate some profit if done right.) On the other hand, allowing any exchange of unwanted items means that people's need for purchased items is slightly lower, and presumably, Evony's profit will also be slightly lower.
In the real world, prices are driven by supply and demand, and stores compete by trying to carry the products that people want to have, at the prices they want to pay, and with the level of service that they expect. Evony is a closed economy however, and the company has an unlimited supply of the items it sells, and exclusive control over the items available for purchase. Therefore, there is no incentive to "take back" items -- they have zero value to the company (unlike a real store that can re-sell a return item or ship it back to the manufacturer for credit, when Evony takes back an item, it just disappears).
I suspect that people would be a little less frustrated by unwanted items if they were valued more appropriately. The values applied to Ritual of Pact and Advanced Tax Policy, for example, do not reflect their value to the players, and I doubt that any experienced players purchase these items. These items are often placed in the "jackpot" slot of the wheel, and when players hit the "jackpot" they feel let down that they won useless items. Dave has posted elsewhere that he believes in having every item available on the wheel, but perhaps the placement of the less desirable items could be adjusted to reflect their true value. Such adjustments should not cause the items to become less rare, or players will remain frustrated.
Reducing player frustration should be a goal of Evony. While the in-game economics are skewed by Evony's monopoly on items and unlimited supply of same, Evony as a company still competes with other games, and players will go where they have the most fun -- frustration is not fun for most people, so in this regard, Evony should be striving to keep it's customer base happy. Accordingly, some mechanism should be provided for players to get rid of unwanted items, preferably with some value received for the items. -
A new item, which may or may not be called Pawn Merchant (someone come up with a better name please), which when applied to an existing item in your inventory, the item can then be exhanged for an item of similar value or less. This would help remove the problem of unwanted items and evony still gets their money by charging for the Pawn Merchant, say 5 cents. There a a few varying ideas as to rate of return etc.
At the basic level, a pawn merchant would exchange the selected item for something of quite lower value, at random.
Higher levels would get you closer to the original value of the item, and on occasion, even above it.
The levels could be defined by adding the total levels of all the markets you have.
At the highest levels you get to choose your item or between a series of items.
You could have an Advanced Pawn Merchant item (more expensive) which would always allow you to pick exactly what you want within the correct value range of course.

New Item: Pawn Merchant - allows you to exchange unwanted item. -
What about a NEW item like a magic wand that is applied to another item to turn it into something else of similar value. The wand item can only be used once and evony still make their money because the wand costs as well.

I would suggest that you would need a Market Level 10 to be able to sell an item. You might only get a small portion of the actual value initially (maybe 1/10th), but with every extra Market level 10 that you own, you could get a slightly better rate.

This option would be great but would also need to be careful. There are people with enough junk items that could pay for 2000 on wars...
So maybe a sellback items to evony option, but you can only sell a limit of 3 items per day.
And when soldback the items turn into a "store credit" instead of evony cents. Sell back items for 30% their original value, and recieve that amount of cents in "store credit" instead of actual cents.
Store credit can only be used to purchase items in the store.
At a 30% return on your junk items, players will be happy, and at a 3 item maximum per day, it would prevent it being abused. -
it could even be set up so cents from items sold could only be used in the shop - like a store credit - and not used to holiday

my idea is selling them back to evony...not between players....even at a 50% discount would be better than useless items

my idea is the player being able to SELL game items for cents !
There are ways to do this, for example.
..You could place a perk in the wheel which would enable you to sell 5 items ( 1 per day )
..You could also possibly make it a little more fun and only enable the sale of an item once a day (redeeming its full cents value of course).
There are other ways of doing it also but I think those would be the best two.
I think this feature would be a huge benefit and one I personally would love to see in the future.
