Females being able to get male ancestors names shared with the temple system through Ordniance Ready

Please allow female family members access to male ancestors who's work has been shared with the temple system. When using Ordinance Ready for females, it would be nice if it would pull in any male names that were shared with the temple system.

  • Why are you attempting to get male names when you appear to be a female. The purpose of Ordinance Ready is to get names for you to take to the temple. If others need names they should sign in to their account and use Ordinance Ready and it will provide names appropriate for them to complete.

  • There is an updated article on the Ordinances Ready feature, "Using the Ordinances Ready feature to easily find names for the temple" at https://www.familysearch.org/ask/sale... (You have to be signed into FamilySearch to see the article). Part of the article states,

    "Before you start
Be aware that Ordinances Ready is designed to provide family name cards for you:

It finds only names with the same sex as you.
It searches your family line but not your spouse's family line.

To print family name cards for someone of the opposite sex or from someone else's family line, you should either sign in as a helper before using Ordinances Ready or teach the other person how to use Ordinances Ready.
