I would love to be able to choose what is on the home page.

I have done a lot of work adding data (stories/pictures) so that is what that frame shows -- I would like to be able to remove my entries to see if anyone else has posted stories or pictures. How about adding a search frame?

The rest is great, thanks!

  • The best way to see all memories for a person on your home page is to select that memory from the home page. If the person you are interested is linked to the Tree, click their name in the tag list (on the right) and select Memories on the person card.
If the person is not linked to the Tree, select the dropdown by the tag name and select the link and click "Show all memories with this name".

    Hope this helps.

Thank-you for your response Brother Porter -- this would be great if I knew which person had newly items added that were not added by me. The idea is that I have added a lot of this type of things lately -- pictures and stories. I would love to be able to see what others have added without wading through the long list of things I have added first or guessing which relative someone may have added something to. :-)

  • Cheryl, most of us patrons would love to see the collection of memories "go away" or be collapsible, since on slower systems, the time to load the memories is a pain.

If the memories display is kept, and made collapsible, maybe the programmers could set them up to allow us to:
    a) establish which memories we want to see, or
    b) allow the memories to rotate from one relative to another, and
    c) allow the most recently-added memories to be displayed with respect to a) or b).

I think that solution would provide you with what you want to see.

Note that many pages, including the "home" or "landing" page are going to be reworked and as such, this may be something that is provided when that part of the system updated.

That would be awesome! I hope you are right. :-) Thanks for your attention to my note.
