Icons are easy.

When I add data to New Family Search, I always include sources and notes. Additionally, I have initiated discussions when I have had information that would clarify or vary from the standard fields on New Family Search. I think that it would be helpful if there were an icon appended to the individual's name in the family tree, similar in nature to the one that indicates multiple spouses, that indicated that there were specific notes and discussions. I know that the Discussion field is pretty obvious but the addition of an icon in the family tree space, which redundent would still be helpful.

  • This is one of those things that I've wished for, but never thought to ask for! The sources, notes, and discussions only show up if one goes to a particular record. An icon in the tree would let us see at a glance what individuals had notes and/or discussions.

Because this great suggestion is not just about discussions, but about an easily implemented and readily recognizable way to indicate several important additions to records, I wonder why it was buried by FamilySearch in a conversation about only discussions.
