Known Issues in Sep 3rd Release We Are Working to Resolve

FamilySearch released a new version of the website on Friday Sept 3rd which added many new features that users have been requesting.

While we strive for flawless software, users have alerted us to a few issues. Below is a list of some of the most serious bugs which we are currently working to resolve.

Issue: Images Not Available
Description: There is a known issue where a browser session cookie times out and the user receives a "The Image is currently unavailable. Please try again later" error when trying to load any image.
Workaround: Sign in to FamilySearch using the sign in link on the top right of the page. This will refresh the cookie and allow display of images
Resolution: A resolution has been identified and we expect it will be released with the next version.

Issue: Images in Full Screen
Description: "Full Screen" button when viewing an image does nothing
Workaround: There is no workaround.
Resolution: A resolution is being worked on and we expect it to be released in a future version.

Note: The vast majority of bugs are experienced by users of the Internet Explorer browsers (versions 6, 7 and 8). FamilySearch teams work to resolve issues with these browsers, but encourages users to upgrade to any of the more modern browsers such as Safari, Firefox or Chrome
