Printing a pedigree from Family Tree

I need to be able to print a pedigree. I cannot find any place on the screen that allows me to print the pedigree.

Printing is currently not available in Family Tree. It is expected to be there in the next few months.

  • So excited to hear printing is going to be an upcoming addition to your site. I think this will be a fantastic improvement. I'll keep watching for it so I can train our users on it.

    Thanks!

  • The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been evolving Genealogy and Family History for the 55 years that I have been a member. Even prior to that, there were systems that were developed as new technology became available.

FamilySearch.org is just another continuation in that evolutionary process. Expect it to continue into the future as newer technology continues to be developed.

All sites tend to evolve. Some are good and some not-so-good. I much preferred the old Find a Grave site to the current one. Ancestry has and continues to evolve. New sites come along over time.

Since FamilySearch.org is dependent upon a budget from the Church, it has limited resources.

This is a feature request. Joe Martel, a regular employee contributor told us last year that there were 1,000 feature requests and that FamilySearch's limited resources allow only a few of those to be implemented.

Right now, ideas that are considered worth developing are placed on a prioritized list. Unfortunately, one of the most needed and requested feature requests is the ability to make changes (corrections, addition, etc.) to the indexes.

On July 18th, 2018, Robert Kehrer (FamilySearch Employee) wrote "FamilySearch does not yet have a user driven indexed data error correction system we can deploy across all collections. I have been saying for years that it is being worked on, and I haven't been lying, but there have been higher priorities. We are however getting closer to deploying a minimal initial system in the near future, that we can build upon over time."
