I’m very sad

Someone forgot to copy and add an entire voume in the middle of a file. :-)

You are missing a volume. In specific, it appears to be an entire book from the following:
In "Italy, Catholic Church Records, Palermo, Monreale, Santa Maria Nuova" Matrimoni files,

Note there is an "M_number" associated with each volume (on the cover of the original manuscript).

Volume 84, "M_7" begins on image 1 and is titled 1680-1694 . It is missing the years after 1694 (see image 202) in "Matrimoni" 1680-1714,
Apparently "M_8" is missing, which would cover 1694-1701.
volume 85, "M_9" begins on 203 is , 1701-1714, it resumes at year 1701 (see image 204 for index for "1701-1714", and 226 for body of text).
Vol 86, "M10" begins on Image 1 in Matrimoni 1714-1737
Vol 87, "M_11" begins on Image 168 in Matrimoni 1714-1737
Can you find, and post, the missin "M_8"?

I am sad also. I looked in the Family History Library catalog for the missing book listing. It does not appear that FamilySearch has this book filmed. It might not be available and in fact may have been lost to the church due to some unknown calamity. Here is the information listed in the catalog: Matrimoni 1670-1694, 1701-1753 FHL INTL Film FHL INTL Film 2189901 Items 1 - 4

Would the record group Monreale Santa Maria Nuova Battesimi, matrimoni, morti 1694-1700 be helpful since it does apear to have records covering this time?

e.g. sad, anxious, confused, frustrated kidding, amused, unsure, silly indifferent, undecided, unconcerned happy, confident, thankful, excited

  • We seem to have several sets of these records, each perhaps covering slightly different time periods. They may be overlapping records from the parish and the archdiocese. Please take a look in beta.familysearch.org. Then go to Italy, then the regions as you described. We found one set of records under Battesimi, matrimoni, morti for 1694-1700. We also found Matrimoni 1680-1714, which seemed to be a complete book. It was numbered 84. We hope this works for you.

  • I’m watchful waiting
I reviewed the records but they didn't seem to be there. However, a second (third?) look never hurts, so, when I find the time (when the site is back up and available?), I'll give it another shot. As usual, thanks all for your feedback and thoughts! Louis
