I’m sick at heart

The beta site search is horrid!

Aaaaahhhhhggg the "search" on the pilot site is So much easier than the Beta Site. I really think the Beta site search Needs a lot of work. It supplies too much information and too much information you don't need. The PILOT site is so much better. the Beta site really is a pain. I work in a library and use this frequently. I DREAD the beta site. I can get so much more info in the pilot site faster.

  • I felt that the pilot. site was so much easier to search e:g i now cannot find my own birth on Beta or many other birth, marriage & deaths records that i could find on the pilot.site

  • Dear K Coffey,

We are sorry that you are having problems searching in our Beta site.
The search experience will be different at the beta site; some search features found on beta are not as fully developed as those on Record Search. Our engineers are working to incorporate the strengths of the Record Search search engine onto the beta site. Meanwhile, as this site is developing, here are a few pointers to get you started.

Start your search by locality, it is located below the search boxes on the home page. You will then be able to filter by area of the world, country, and collection as well as filter by years and types of records. Once you have narrowed you results, then add the specific data and search.

You can help shape the way the search engine is developed by clicking the feedback button while on any search results page. The search environment is captured as part of the feedback and sent directly to the engineers.

We wish you success in your family research. If we can be of further help, please contact us again.
