  • Could you clarify what type of records you are looking for?
FamilySearch has limited scope to publish records online from Scottish sources due to contractual agreements with other organisations and the record owners.
Family History Centres do have computerised index records for some sources in the Scottish Church Records database. (Note that the http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk Web site charges a fee for searching The Scottish Church Records.)
These indexes predated agreements which limit the ability of FamilySearch to publish other records.
If you wish to use Scottish Church Records at a local Family History Centre of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it may be advisable to contact that centre in advance.
The Scottish Church Records are available on Family History Centre computers along with certain other types of record which are not available for online publication.
