What image were you looking for? If you can supply the name of collection, person you are searching, and other information we can check to see if the image can be located for you.

We are in the process of moving images from one set of servers to another so some images are currently unavailable. We expect the transfer to take another few weeks so keep checking back.

    • I am looking for the marriage record of Tiburcio Sigala and Bacilia Losoya. They married in Gen Trias, Chihuahua, Chih on 5-15-1876. I cannot access the image for this to see the info and the parents of the couple. I would appreciate any help.

    • I'm looking for the image of the Texas Death Certificate for Victoria Frances Hodges who died 30 May 1966 in Gonzales County, Texas. It seems that many Texas death certificate images are missing in this collection.

Were you by any chance searching Texas Deaths? if so, those images are now available. If not, please send me additional information and I will try to locate the file for you - assuming the dates confirm to year guidelines.

The images are no longer available on Record Search and not currently on the Beta site. I have been checking for several weeks now.

    • same thing for me. It seems as if the old site was easier to use and I got more results than now. I am looking for a Texas Death certificate and it shows that there is no image. It is for Robert Eason Manning , died Feb 24, 1981 Aransas Co Texas ( according to Texas Death Index) I had previously thought he died in Aransas Pass, San Patricio County Texas, but find nothing either way. Beta site seems to show no images, for Texas frequently, help appreciated

I cannot get any images in the US 1850 Census for Adams County, Ohio. I can get other Ohio counties in 1850, but not Adams. There is nothing in the box where there's usually a thumbnail image or a message saying you need to login, etc. There's just nothing there.
    • Hi, I to am working on Adams County death cert.'s. I go to the old site to find a person, then copy and past the name to the Beta site. Add the death date and Ohio. Tne name will come up at the top of the list.
I have to log in to see the image. I didn't like that much, but at this point what ever works. The last couple of days Beta says the image is not avaible. Whats up with that??
I noticed there were some census's at the list and I was surprised to read you are supposed to see a image as none is offered to me. That sure would be nice.
I wonder if they are still working on improvements. Also I am praying they don't take down the old site, because we will have no way of finding anyone.
I am praying hard. In Adams County my daddy's family lived for a couple hundred years, so there are a lot of family to search for.
    • Hi again. I discovered the reason the image is unavailable is the beta site made a little change. At the point the list of names comes into view, up in the left hand corner is a very small log in place. The Adams County, Ohio census image however still can't be viewed.

  • What happened to the US 1850 Census? I keep getting told that the image is no long available on this site and directs me to beta sight where there is also no image. Is this in transition or what?

  • I’m frustrated
I cannot get any images for the parish of Lychen in the Brandenburg Church Book duplicate records. The link points to fsbeta.familysearch.org. It's not there. When will these be transferred so I can use these records?

  • I’m angry and resigned
It has been two weeks with *NO* changes to the Brandenburg Church Book records. Very fast losing faith that this will change in the near future... or that I will get a response from any team member about this problem. I'm wondering why they bothered to put them online in the first place if the end result was this mess.

  • There are several reasons why some collections are not available during the migration of large numbers of images and the review of contractual agreements which is part of the development of the beta site.
The number of collections affected by transfer to new server banks and the development of features within the test is large. These issues will take a few weeks to resolve as engineering work is undertaken. Substantial return of images on the Record Search site is taking place each week. If you are trying to view image only collections, until the beta site has the feature to browse previous and next image these will not migrate to beta but will reload to Record Search.

  • I’m glad
    Angelofnorth----
I am very happy to hear of the return of images to the Record Search site on the pilot website. Returning these images while the beta site is being worked on and perfected will *really* aid all of those who have come to rely on the Record Search site as a great place to find record images. We appreciate you working with us researchers, and making these images available to those who would use them. In the meantime, I am also excited to find out what you have in store with the new beta website when everything works properly.

Thank you for helping us researchers.

Record Search is a blessing. I refer a lot of people to it and they are so grateful. This tool has helped hundreds of people, including me.
I hope things get straightened out very soon. Thanks to all involved.

Still unable to see records at either site. It's been over a month. Are records still being returned to original site for us to view while the Beta site is being worked on?
Still waiting for General Trias, Coahuila, Mexico to show up on either site.
    thanks

In Texas Deaths: 1890-1976, there are MANY, MANY no images. Still! Not in Pilot or Beta.
    Just one example:
    No Image:
    https://beta.familysearch.org/s/recor...

And because the indexing is only partial and not complete, it is not really helpful.

  • I’m still perplexed...
I too prefer the old site instead of the Beta. It was easier to use and the search results were better. I don't like that I had to register to use the Beta site either. But, I have found that to view the images, I have to be signed in to the site and then "some" of the images will come up. Seems like I have to sign in every hour or so too. The images that weren't available before are not available now either. I was told that the engineers were working on that problem but so far, they have fixed none of the ones that I need.
Try signing in and see if some the images will come up.

  • LDS will never know how much I appreciate all their work. However, I agree with you about the Beta site. Plus, we have now lost all the images that actually were on line - Ohio Death Certificates is a good example. All of the actual certificates were viewable - not now. They're gone! Just transcriptions and unfortunately, there are mistakes being made by the transcribers because they are not familiar with the area and are misspelling things. For those of us that know the names well, we were able to work through the bad penmanship as well as other situations that were problems with original images.
So sad these certificates are no longer available. What a wonderful thing it was to be able to actually see them and complete many questions we had in our genealogy trees. Sure do wish that could reinstate them.

  • Actually, we do sign in - several of us. Unfortunately, hundreds of the images that were there last year, are not there anymore.

This is not just a problem for our genealogy family, but for others as well. One of our group received an e-mail at which time we were told there was a problem with the State of Ohio - I have received several e-mails from LDS about it. Unfortunately, they have never directly answered why the images are no longer there.

Even images that we ran copies of last year - are now no longer available on line for future reference. Quite frankly, I don't know what other avenue to take. I've even visited one of their libraries to see if they knew the answer - they didn't. So sad - am going to another library in another state soon - will check with them. Another possibility is that the actual images are taking up so much space on the internet - may be creating a problem for the website. I don't know - just trying to figure out why they aren't there anymore.

  • Are the image PROBLEMs ever going to be resolved?? In the beginning it was so easy to access records and view images, now the more soficated the sites become the less imformation is available. There's always a message to redirect you to somewhere else to see the same records that until recently were available here. If I wanted to be somewhere else I would not be on this site.
