feedly is very SLOW...

i reinstalled feedly this morning because i had alot of the same issues that have been reported recently: the sources were missing- dashboard sources were removed by clicking etc...

after the reinstall--- everything is slow in feedly-- scrolling up and down takes about 50% of the CPU...

any ideas why this is happening....

Where did you re-install from (mozilla add-ons)? The version on add-ons (2.8) use a CSS shadow box which firefox seems to scroll very slowly. It has been removed from the 2.x version on www.feedly.com but 2.x has a couple of major regressions we are going to fix this morning. so the best bet is to wait a couple of hours and install the 2.x.130 we will push out on www.feedly.com. That should bring everything back to normal.

Update. We now have a more solid build out which fixes both the scrolling performance issue as well as the mark as read/sources/dashboard issues. When you have a minute please re-install from http://update.feedly.com/release/feed...

I use Google Chrome and I find that the scroll performance is terrible. It's really choppy and it makes for a pretty frustrating experience. Why is this happening? Are you working on improving this?

Sorry about that. Which version of feedly are you using? Which version of chrome are you using? Which OS are you using?

Same thing happens to me. Scrolling is generally slugish but sometimes it makes Feedly unusable. I get 100% CPU usage on i5 760 all the time!

Chrome 21
Windows 7

We are looking into this. Please make sure that you are not running both the app and the extension.

Just moved to Feedly from Google reader, the web app is SLOW! Will it get better or do I need to find another web app?

I'm finding that trying to add / edit subscriptions totally locks up Firefox.

Feedly just kills Firefox, regularly.

Processor usage, as reported by top goes as high as 87% and Spin Control shows hangs lasting as long as 38 seconds.

Feedly should focus all their resources on making it smooth and responsive. It really is a terrible browsing experience. Feedly should be used to quickly look at several news sources, yet the feedly interface is too sluggish for this kind of work.

I've just uninstalled Feedly as loading Chrome meant that no pages would open! It made it totally unresponsive. Removed Feedly restarted chrome and boom straight in to the pages I wanted. Not a happy camper! :( I only switched as Google reader is being shut down. Does anyone know of an alternative that doesn't monitor your ENTIRE browsing history?!!

Richard, are you saying that feedly monitors our entire browsing history? Are you sure?

As it says in the "New App" for Chrome window and in the Extensions dialogue box when it is installed. It can: "Access your data on all websites" maybe I have it wrong in saying that it "monitors your browsing history".. but all I do know is Chrome is next to useless when I have Feedly installed. (I have nothing to hide, so wouldn't normally care but making me unable to access the Internet is just damn annoying.)
