How do I delete my Feedly account?

  • Question

How exactly do I delete my Feedly account? I don't have any specific problems with Feedly or anything. In fact, I think it's nice. It's just that I like the simplicity of Google Reader over Feedly. I really have no need for two RSS readers. I'm sorry, it's nothing personal ;)

I was just about to uninstall the Feedly chrome app a few minutes ago, when I realized that I would still have to delete the account itself separately. And then I realized that I had no idea how to do that! I've searched all over the Feedly website, and I still can't figure it out. A little help please!

I would also like to delete my account and all my personal information. I'm disappointed to see that feedly does not include this option on the account settings page.

I found this as a way to delete feedly accounts: https://getsatisfaction.com/feedly/to... and am trying it now. I don't know if anyone else has tried it?

We need your google reader ID to delete your account. Please go to the google reader website and click on all items. This should give you a url with your reader id. Please send the entire URL to team@devhd.com.

Do we still have to email you to delete our accounts? You don't have anything in your UI yet?

go to Google dashboard and then go to Authorized Access to your Google Account

you can see what all services or sites are connected to your Google account.

Just revoke the Access.

Quite frankly, I consider Feedly to be a rogue site because
- you cannot delete your own account.
- they ask for more of your information to have them delete your account.
makes you "really" wonder about them.
Wish I hadn't been suckered into signing up when the Google reader was killed.

Scott, i send several email with different contents that said above but my account is active and i did not receive any notification too!!
Unfortunately it seems that Snow White is right!
The only thing that can be done is "Revoke Access", if you are logged in with your Google account (via https://security.google.com/settings/... -> "Connected applications and sites").

Revoking Access does not fix the issue. You only need to allow access to log in. After you are logged in you can revoke access and Feedly will still work and all of your data will still be there.

Here are the detailed steps to delete your account:

1. Go to http://feedly.com and login
2. Navigate to the organize page aka. http://feedly.com/#contents/edit
3. Scroll down and click on the erase account link.
4. Click on the big “Erase my account and all my data” button

Note: deleting your account will permanently erase all of your subscriptions, saved items and tags - there is no undo. If you want to do a backup of your reading environment, look into getting an OPML archive from your feedly.
