Since the "X" has seemingly switched from "mark read and hide" to "minimize and hide", I believe the "minimize" button at the bottom of the toolbar of an open article should be moved up between the "save for later" and "minimize and hide" buttons. It just makes sense based on the relation of the buttons.
Also there is the "recommend" redundancy. First, there is the "thumbs up" button (with number of recommendations) at the top of an article proper. But then, there is the "thumbs up" button on the article's toolbar. Get rid of one or the other.
Since it has no relation to the other buttons it is grouped with on the toolbar ("save for later", my suggested "minimize", and "minimize and hide"), I think the toolbar "recommend" should be dropped. And, of course, if you got rid of the other "thumbs up" button, you'd lose the recommendations count number.
Anyhoo...
