Yes. After installing the RSS Subscription Extension(1). You can add feedly to the list by selecting add new and entering:

Description:
feedly

URL:
http://www.feedly.com /home#subscription/feed/%s[action.subscribe

(no space in the URL. The space is only included so that getsatisfaction does not try to shorten that URL!)

Nice! I am wondering if the Feedly app for Chrome cannot add this entry in the RSS Subscription Extension per default when installing?

This didn't work for me. Provided this:
Sorry. Feed not found.

Simply dropping the "[action.subscribe" part from the end did the trick for me.

Yep, that worked for me, too -- great. Had to make sure there was no space and no [action.subscribe

Thanks! This did take some work to find and may detract users considering a switch to Chrome if they can't find the information.

Heads up if you are like me and don't read carefully :-)

If you are having trouble getting this to work make sure you take the space out of the feed url above after you paste it! I forget.

ps works fine on mac chrome, thanks for this tip.

I've made a bookmarklet for feedly that makes subscribing 10x easier. 100% cross-platform and cross-browser http://ow.ly/2fVwn

It's basically like the chrome extension mentioned here but it works in every browser on every platform.

You don't need an extension...I made a bookmarklet that works in all browsers. http://visuex.com/blog/15-feedly

David, someone took the old Google extension, forked the code into their own project and uploaded it back to the Chrome store. :)

Since Google removed their RSS Subscription Extension from the Chrome Web Store, I found another one that works great with Feedly:

RSS Subscriptions with FEED: Handler
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/de...

Just follow the instructions in the top post by edwk and you're good to go. =)

why do people want an extension when a bookmarklet does it easier, faster and without having to install anything on your computer?

Personal preference.

I understand that but what is the reasoning behind said preference?

Myself, I prefer the extension because if there is an RSS feed on the site I'm visiting, there is an RSS icon for me to click on and subscribe. I have a routine and I like it this way. I don't have to go to the bookmarks menu, find the bookmarklet, click it, find out there was no RSS feed, etc..

a bookmarklet doesn't find a feed...I suppose it could but it is for when you already have a feed url loaded.

Thank you! chrome kept crashing and when I created a new user data file everything got reinstalled, including the rss feed without google reader and in French. Imagine how much fun it is trying to reconfigure chrome's options in a 'not first choice' language. You have managed to stave off a fit of weeping (I exaggerate only slightly). Cheers

REMOVE THE SPACE FROM THE FOLLOWING URL OR IT WILL NOT WORK (just before /home):

Name: Feedly
URL: http://www.feedly.com /home#subscription/feed/%s[action.subscribe

(Repeating this to make it clear to people.)

I got it to work, but I had to remove both the space and everything after %s from the URL string.

It appears the need fr the "[action.subscribe" has been removed. Just "http://www.feedly.com/home#subscripti..." is needed now.

the URL to use (as of 2013-8-12) is:

http://cloud.feedly.com/#subscription...

broken down version:
