Not being able to download to Itunes.

  • Updated 3 years ago
I am very frustrated, I paid for this version so I could have the digital copy. To log it all in and find out that I am not able to put it onto my own Itunes. It is beyond frustrating. I know I am not the only one on here that is frustrated or mad. It is false information when something like this happens. We all expected the digital copy to be linked to our Itunes because that is how it was for the last movie and other movies we have purchased. If you are going to change the way the digital copy is programed, you should at least tell your costumers somehow before they spend the extra money.

Add me to this list, I really am disappointed that I got tricked into thinking that this would be just like part 1, ie, in iTunes. I paid good money for pt. 2 (just like I did for part 1) and expected it to be just like ALL the other movies with digital copies, in iTunes!

How do I get a refund since I really dislike the whole UV interface, the setup, the use, AND IT is not in iTUNES!

Ultraviolet is horrible. The "digital copy" is a complete waste. It's unusable, and you might as well just rip the movie yourself for all the good it does you. I won't buy another Ultraviolet Digital copy. Ever.

They need to list what type of digital copy they are providing that way I can avoid ultraviolet.

To be fair, they do usually say Ultraviolet Digital Copy. It's just that when Green Lantern came out, how were we to know what that would mean?

If you pre-order from Amazon they don't say ahead of time. I have preordered several items now and at the time they said nothing about UV now they have changed it.

I am in the same boat, bought this version for the digital copy and now I find out the digital copy can't be imported into iTunes. How was I to know that UV and itunes don't play well together. VERY unhappy about this.

I had the same issue. Ultimately, this isn't Flixster's fault, it's the fault of the company that chose them to distribute the digital copies that we paid for. If you email them via the customer service link (below), you can get them to send you a code to download your movie in iTunes.

For my two cents, also email the company that made the movie you bought. In my case, it's WB, and the contact info is:

I don't understand why they would make it not available to all programs. I personally use Itunes but what about the people that use other programs. This is ridiculous. How can I watch the movie on-the-go if i have to lug around my laptop all the time?

It's so stupid that they would do this.

UltraViolet is a huge disappointment.

I have an iPhone 3GS, and for some reason, Flixster is not supporting live streaming to it! Why can I run the latest iPhone OS (iOS 5) but can't stream from Flixster? It's BS.

And it's worthless for my kids, who can't watch any UV movies on their still new iPod Touches unless they are in the house with wi-fi. The whole point of a digital copy is so they can take it with them in the car.

C'mon WB, I've bought two movies that have UV copies (harry potter 7, part 2 and the Green Lantern movie) and the digital copies are essentially worthless.

Not to mention the quality sucks when I am able to stream to my iMac.

I have been buying digital copies along with my blue rays and DVDs for years. I've had no problem with the ones that deliver through iTunes, so why have you guys chosen to screw this system up?

Give me a rope here. Please. My kids aren't happy. I'm not happy. You are going to force everyone to go back to ripping copies for travel. We don't want to do that.

I look forward to your reply.

i tried to give this crap a chance. I downloaded it to my Ipad. I turned off my wifi to save battery life. well guess what. I can't sign into flixster on my ipad with no wifi to be able to access my downloaded movie. REALLY is not watch anywhere like they claim. There support has been no help. I will like most of you NEVER buy anything that is ultraviolet again.

Seriously, y'all. Email Flixster -- they'll give you a code for a "real" digital copy -- FREE! Yes, it's still a PITA, but at least it *does* allow you to have an actual file of the film as "usual". But also, email WB (or whichever company made the movie(s) you're dealing with) -- they need to know to not EVER do this to their customers again! :-P

Sure! Sorry -- I forgot to re-post it earlier when I replied.

If you email Flixster via the customer service link (below), you can get them to send you a code to download your movie in iTunes. Be sure to specify which movie you're wanting, though you may have to do it more than once!

Hope this helps!

This is a terrible app. The directions are non-exsistant. I feel like I have been ripped off by WB, amazon and Flixster. I want a regular digital copy to have in my iTunes. I will not buy a movie with this Ultraviolet garbage again.

Go here and tell them how you feel. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered to send me an iTunes code to download the movie.

I take back the bad things I said about WB, UV on the other hand needs to die a quick death....

I sent the complaint, told them I purchased Crazy Stupid Love, provided my redemption code and got a reply with a link to Harry Potter. I didn't want Harry Potter. This is really frustrating!!!!!

The first "reply" I got from them had nothing to do with what I'd said in my email/complaint, either, but I replied, and they *did* send the right info. I hope they get it straightened out for you!!

I have replied twice to it and no further communication from them. This is just ridiculous. I will never buy another movie with this type of download.

I know you probably don't want to email them again but if you try emailing them and directly say that you want to download/watch the movie in iTunes then I'm sure that they will send you the code just as they did for me.

I submitted a ticket for 2 movies that I wanted an iTunes download for at about 8pm and by 11pm I had a code for one movie and they said that I should soon receive a code from Apple iTunes for the second. We will see if the second code gets here, but so far their customer response has been great.

EMAIL FLIXSTER AND TELL THEM YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD AND WATCH THE MOVIE IN ITUNES.

I had the same problem as everyone else about wanting to download the movie to iTunes which is where I have the first 6 movies and part 1 of number 7. I emailed them as a couple people above said to do saying I had a problem playing the movie. When I received a reply it basically told me what I already knew which is how to download it to your computer with the Flixster collections and about how to download to your phone with the Flixster app. I was very frustrated and this morning I decided to email them again but this time I plainly and politely explained that I wanted to watch my movie in iTunes and not on ultraviolet. About 5 minutes later I received a reply with the redemption code for iTunes and them explaining that they want me to be satisfied with my purchase. I was very frustrated just like everyone else but after emailing them I'm at least satisfied with being able to download the movie on iTunes.

I am really upset with this as well! And what's worse is when I try to get in touch with a customer service representative it sends me to the forums where no one has any power to help any one, only the power to commiserate because they're having the same problem! If that's not a giant slap in the face of their customers I don't know what is. It's outrageous that the only reason I get the digital copy is because I want it on my iPhone and now I've been restricted from using it on my iPhone. I will be buying my digital copies directly from iTunes from here on out.
