Why do I have to jump through hoops to simply download a movie?

So, instead of doing something simple like making this movie (Green Lantern) download like EVERY OTHER DIGITAL COPY and simply having it available through iTunes, you opted to force users to sign up for two different websites (Flixter, Ultrawhatever) AND download two different applications (one of which is mere bloatware and shouldn't be necessary in the least).
This is exactly the kind of hassle I wanted to avoid when buying a digital copy. Crap like this only drives people to pirate movies instead of putting up with unneeded programs and restrictions.

Who came up with this idea, and did any of the money I spent go to this idiot?

Flixster and Ultraviolet dropped the ball. Take movie back, get refunded, then buy digital copy from Amazon.com

Hugely disappointed in this situation - too expensive to have this many problems.

I used to be able to download movies into iTunes and watch them on my iPod 1st generation. Now I am stuck with this stupid app that doesn't work on it and my movies are not stored in my movies library. Bad idea and I will not get movies with Untrviolet until they fix it.

This is possibly the worst digital download system ever concocted. who are the morons who designed it? Probably PC users... NEVER had an issue with iTunes

Couldn't have said it better myself. I've now got accounts on two websites I don't want accounts on and I still can't get the movie to stream.

Is there anyway to download this stupid software? I literally bought a new MacBook Pro on Monday and started loading up all my digital copies. When I added Green Lantern and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, it made me join Flixster. It says I can download, but every time I try to download the required software, both the flixster download and the adobe download never install. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the software to work and download them?

What is worse is that I cannot even watch my own movies on my own phone, because Flixster/UltraViolet thinks my phone is rooted (like that should make a difference anyway)! I'm tired of having terms forced down my throat for items that I own!

Oh great, seems I'm SOL. I can't view the downloaded mp4 movie on my mobile? I don't get it. Do we really have to be logged onto flixter or that other crap to view our digigal "free" movies?

I meet all the requirements for viewing and downloading movies in Ultraviolet on my Android phone but it still doesn't work. This is pointless
