I’m frustrated

Buy buttons not appearing in all tabs for images on the same page

I am using Bootstrap to create several tabs on my page. The buy buttons are only showing up on the first tab and not the others. How can I make them appear on all tabs?

  • Hi Alisha,

Thanks for your post. At first glance it looks like your code is loading one group of images when the page loads, and Fotomoto is working as expected there. When you click on another tab, it appears that you're loading a different set of images via an AJAX call, based on the fact that the URL stays at http://alishaober.com/forsale.html when you click the tab, so the page isn't re-loading and Fotomoto isn't able to detect the next set of images because they weren't loaded when the page loaded initially. Please note that Fotomoto works by detecting every image on your page when the page is loaded, but if images load after the page loads (like via AJAX), then Fotomoto won't be able to detect the images.

To fix this what I'd suggest is having completely different pages for each of your groups of images (Greeting Cards, Merch, Stock Illustrations, etc.).

Also, I did notice that you had multiple sets of Buy Buttons under each image. I think I've fixed this for you by removing all the images from your Dashboard, but the first image (the Happy Thanksgiving turkey) couldn't be removed because it had been sent as an eCard, so you should be able to fix that by re-uploading the turkey file with a different filename, then removing the images from your Dashboard again as explained under " To remove all of the images from your Dashboard" at http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/...

I hope that all helps and kind regards,
    Derek

  • Derek,

Thank you for your help. While it's not an ideal solution, at least I understand why it's happening. I'll split these out as you suggested and hopefully the issues will be resolved.

    Cheers,
    Alisha
    • You're very welcome Alisha - I'm glad to help however I can.

There is actually one other option which would involve using our API to load the Buy Button toolbar where and when desired. This is a solution that I would usually only recommend to developers, but it is an option. We don't provide support for using the API in this case, but if you would like to look in to the documentation it's at http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/...

Splitting the images on to separate pages will likely be much easier, but I did want to mention the API anyway.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
      Derek
