I’m frustrated

Can't get FotoMoto to work on my website

I was excited to find FotoMoto today since it seems like it's just what I've been looking for. But my excitement quickly turned to dissappointment...

I've sent an email, but thought I'd try here too. I can't get FotoMoto to correctly install on my website (Weebly). I've added the code to my HTML, but the photos aren't showing up on FotoMoto & there are no For Sale buttons on my website.

  • Wow. Three hours and no reply to my post or answer to my email to tech support. I've heard from Weebly customer support and she's already trying to help me.

I have to say that so far I'm not impressed here with anything but the idea...

    Hi Jackie,

I just replied to your support email with the details, but initially the issue appears to be that your Minimum Width or Height for Images setting was at 800px, and most of your images are not that wide (or high), so they weren't getting the buy buttons.

My guess is that you're trying to prevent buy buttons from showing up on some images and not others - here's the article you'll want to read about that

    Hope that helps!

  • Thanks for your response. I initially had my height/width set to several different sizes, none of which worked. All of the images I uploaded to my website were 1000px or larger on the shortest side.

Customer support @ Weebly replied to my request for help in less than an hour (typical for them). She had me email her the code and verified that it was placed correctly in my HTML. When I view the code on my website, it is in the same place so it must have been positioned correctly.

After leaving for several hours & returning, the buttons had finally showed up. Perhaps it took that long for my images to finally upload to Fotomoto?

    Hi Jackie,

Rather than doing this conversation in two different places, I'm going to respond to your support emails and just post 'summary' responses here.

Our buy button toolbar should show up immediately on your images when a page is loaded in the browser. I suspect that when the minimum height/width setting was changed, you saw the buy buttons shortly thereafter.

As far as where your code was placed, I assume you're talking about the Fotomoto Script, and yes, it's in the correct place and you're seeing buy buttons as a result.

Talk to you soon in the support emails.

    Derek
