DeepFocus 3.9 compatability issue

Having updated to DeepFocus 3.9 it seems the FotoMoto is not working now. Is there something I need to change on the FotoMoto end when updating a theme? I have cleared my cache and the fotomoto toolbar no longer appears above any of my images in fancybox mode.

    Hi Marcus,

I took a look at your site and can see the Buy Buttons as expected when I click any image and view it in the FancyBox. See the screenshot below to see what I see.

Please give it another shot and just make sure you let the page load completely before clicking the image to launch FancyBox. If that doesn't work, please send me the URL you're looking at, and which browser/version you're using.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Derek

    Hi Marcus,

I checked your site on Firefox 14.0.1 for Mac and am still seeing the Buy Buttons as expected. It looks like you're using the PC version, which we can check for you, but first please try using another browser if you have one, and also try disabling any add-ons, extensions or plugins that you might have enabled on your Firefox browser to see if that resolves the issue. There are one or two known plugins that may conflict with Fotomoto.

    Thanks,
    Derek

  • interesting... I disabled all extensions and it started working again. I find this strange as I didn't make any changes to, or add any FF extentions. All I did was update the theme. I suppose I now need to enable each extention one by one, testing as I go, to find the culprit.
    • I've tested all extensions and none are conflicting. It all seems to be working ok now. What concerns me is if I couldn't see it for whatever reason, will my customers always see it? They will obviously need to make sure Java-script is enabled, but is there any thing else I should advise on the website to maximize the audience that can interact with fotomoto on my site?

      Hi Marcus,

Well it sounds like perhaps it was a cache or other temporary issue with your browser. As I mentioned, everything was working fine on the various browsers I tested. I would trust that your customers will have the same experience I did, but it's always prudent to try your site on a few other computers...perhaps at a friend's house, the library, work or what have you.

The only confirmed plugin-related issue I have on my list is a conflict with the ClickToFlash plugin, but personally I wouldn't think the likelihood of customers having that would warrant a special mention on your page.

Glad to hear it's working for you now though, and if you have future troubles with Fotomoto working on your site please do let us know - we're glad to help.

      Kind regards,
      Derek
