Download pricing broken [Wordpress + FancyBox]

For reference, use this post/gallery: http://jakubdostal.com/2012/voice-festival-uk-scottish-regionals/

Adding images from fancybox overlay works fine. However, there are two issues:
1/ It is possible to add multiple copies of the same image (see bottom two images here: http://imgur.com/bCtLM ).
2/ Pricing for downloads does not update with amount of images in the cart (in the image above, you can see that the price for 6 items is £12 and not 6x£1.50=£9 as per pricing settings. I hoped that the pricing would be updated at least at the checkout stage if not straight away, but this does not seem to be the case either.

Can you please look into it and fix these major bugs? Or, if the problem is somehow on my side, advise me on how to fix it?

Thanks.

    Hi JD,

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. I was able to replicate what you're seeing and this does appear to be an issue on our end. I have passed these on to our engineering team to be addressed as soon as possible, and I will post a reply here once they've been addressed.

    Kind regards,
    Derek

  • I am having the same problem with the download pricing. I use a website I code myself and jalbum. I am really frustrated because I shot an event this weekend and wanted to get the purchase options to people right away. Here is a link to my unanswered problem:

  • I would very much appreciate some insight on this.

I shot an event and set pricing for downloads. The more files one purchases, the more discount one gets. So, one download might be $8. Two-ten downloads would be $7.00, and anything more than that is $5.

The pricing is set up and shows up in the cart, both via Fotomoto's dashboard and when I go to my website and test looking at prices for downloads. But, when I put downloads in my cart, the pricing does not update with the discount for multiples when I put more than one in my cart.

    Very frustrating!

I code the site myself with dreamweaver, use Godaddy for a host, and use jalbum for albums. It just seems that the cart function is not updating the pricing the way it is supposed to update.

    Any insight?

Here is a link to the page with the photos that I'd like to offer the event-goers for sale:

    Many thanks,
    Ellen

    • Thanks for the reply, Derek. I may change the pricing scheme to one easy price per download for the time being, at least for this event.
    • No problem at all Ellen, and sorry again about the issue. If there's anything else we can do to help you let us know, otherwise we'll post back here with updates as we have them.

      Kind regards,
      Derek

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, it's fixed now.

  • Hello,

I am also having this issue.

My pricing for downloads on my dashboard and on the site match; however, when a customer tries to check out with multiple downloads, it charges each download separately, and it charges the cost as set for 2-6 files, not even the set price for 1 file. How can I get my site to update the price as a customer purchases multiple files? And how can I ensure that customers aren't overcharged for a single purchased file?

    My site: http://deborahlithander.com/diwali-20...
    • Hi Deb,

I checked your site and it looks to me like the download prices are being charged correctly. Perhaps there's a misunderstanding about how the pricing works - our system is set up to give you the flexibility to charge a discounted price for multiple downloads, as in if a customer buys one, you could charge X, and if they buy multiple downloads (like 2-6) they would be charged Y. The idea is that you can give volume discounts, where Y could be less than X. You have your pricing set such that Y is more than X so they're currently paying *more* if they buy multiple downloads. Does that make sense?

If I'm missing the point here or if you're seeing an issue I'm not seeing, please let us know - you can post here or send us an email if you prefer to ask in private.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
      Derek
