eCard sending wrong photo to recipient

I just experienced an issue with sending an eCard from the home page of my photoblog. The recipient of the eCard received my latest blog post photo instead of the one that was there last week when I sent the eCard. I'm using Wordpress. is this a known issue? The only way around this issue right now would be for me to remove Fotomoto from my blog home page and only have it show up in my gallery and individual blog posts. By the way, my blog home page only shows the most recent post (one post at a time), if that matters.

  • OK, I think I "might" know what happened here although it has not been confirmed as I need to wait to hear back from the recipient. I believe that Gmail (what the recipient is using) is blocking the photo in the eCard email, but there is still a link to click on. The problem is that link only takes the recipient to my photoblog home page, not the actual photo. Even if that is what happened, I still consider that a problem.

    I’m confident all is well
    Hi DK,

I just sent a test eCard to you via your site - please have a look at it and make sure all looks well. There is a Site Credit link that correctly points to your website, but the Buy and Share links should all point to the individual photo.

If you see something wrong with the eCard, please feel free to contact us at support@fotomoto.com

    Thanks!
    Derek
    • Thanks, I actually just sent you an email at support@fotomoto.com but I will copy and paste it here as well...

I appreciate the test. And everything came through fine, which for this particular test I would expect. The issue that happened with the recipient is that they saw the photo "Monumental Feet" when I actually had sent the photo "Santa Globe". Unfortunately the recipient is not computer savvy so it's hard for me (without seeing it) to understand exactly what happened. I have noticed that regardless of which photo is sent, the link always goes back to my photoblog home page. That isn't necessarily an issue except for I think in this particular case Gmail is blocking the photo from showing up in the email for this recipient. Therefore I think the recipient clicked the link and then saw my most recent photoblog post "Monumental Feet" instead of the photo that was actually sent in the eCard (which was blocked).
