Framing The Canvas Prints

I noticed that when I choose canvas prints the images cut out much of what was in the frame of the photo. Is there a way to fix this when ordering canvas wraps?

    Hi Zane,

Thanks for your post. I think you might have been looking at our shopping cart Widget showing the "image Wrap" option for canvas, where the image is stretched to the perimeter of the canvas so that the edges of the images are seen on the edges of the canvas.

If you're the seller wanting to avoid that being displayed, you can disable the Image Wrap option in your Fotomoto Dashboard, or make one of the other options the default. If you're the buyer wanting to purchase a canvas where the whole image shows on the front, you can select either the White Wrap or Black Wrap option where the sides of the canvas are painted instead.

I hope that helps clarify and if I can assist with anything else just let me know!

    Kind regards
    Derek

  • Hi Thanks for the info. Also I've been seeing some negative reviews on your sight. How can I guarantee that my customers who want to buy prints and print products not have any problems ordering? I don't want my customers to be disappointed.
    • The negative reviews were from the fotomoto Facebook page.
    • You're very welcome Zane.

As for negative reviews, I assume what you saw was quite old. There was a "dark time" for Fotomoto several years back when we were, well "between owners" and the service was left unattended for several months. Pretty amazing really that it kept going with no employees, but I digress. We are now part of Bay Photo and all systems have been fully-operational for years now.

You should feel quite safe that your customers won't have any problems ordering, and we are here to help if they need it.

How can you be sure? Well, you could always visit your Fotomoto-powered site once in a while and click a Buy link to make sure the shopping cart shows up, or you could install some kind of site monitoring tool that does an automated test...probably easiest to just trust us though =)

Hope that helps and kind regards,
      Derek
