Help! Unable to link Squarespace

I just set up an all new Squarespace website for my photography. I'm using the Avenue theme template (which is stated on Fotomoto to be compatible). I've got a main index page which gallery pages link out of. I followed the Fotomoto guide step by step for injecting the code to the website. The javascript loads but the widget doesn't show up anywhere.

I created a test page that is neither an index nor a gallery page, added an image, and Fotomoto loads on it. Have other experienced this issue? Does Fotomoto not play nice with these particular page types? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I've linked my website below.

  • Hi Dylan,

Thank you for your post. I received your support email on the same subject, and will reply to you there.

To answer the question for anyone else reading along, Fotomoto should play nicely with the page types you mention.

    Thanks again and kind regards,
    Derek

  • Hi Derek -

Thank you for your reply here and I look forward to your email.

If you happen to get this before emailing me, the strangest part of it all is that it DID work initially. I put the script in (and actually not even in the right place as directed by Fotomoto) and it showed up under all pictures and indexed the entire website into the store. Then all the sudden it disappeared. So I deleted the indexed photos and started over to no luck. I subsequently deleted the entire store and started a new one on Fotomoto and still no luck in getting it to reappear. It consistently won't index the galleries even when the injecting the code where appropriate (or even where I did when I first did it).

  • Hi Dylan,

Just to follow up on the public post here, I mailed you about the resolution to this problem, and there shouldn't be any need for you to change anything further on your end. I'll let you know via support email when the issue is resolved.

    Many thanks again,
    Derek
