Help with WordPress Categories and Buy Buttons

I am trying to implement Fotomoto within Wordpress, in particular the Deep Focus theme by Elegant Themes. I really like Fotomoto's functionality and have a few questions.

First I was unable to make it work with the Fancybox js library. No matter what I tried I couldn't get the buy bar to appear. I ended up using the "I don't know" script library setting. I was able to get the buy bar to appear below the images on the post detail page. It is OK.

My question... I established a category to list certain prints for sale. If I have an image categorized as "Architecture" and "For Sale" the image shows up if I have both categories checked in the Fotomoto plugin section of WP. If I turn the "Architecture" category off and keep the "For Sale" checked, the buy buttons disappear. I want to be able to list images across my portfolio for sale but NOT every image within a category. Just ones that have the category "For Sale" added. Is this possible? Does it make sense?

A workaround would be to add the per-page buy code like on http://www.newportriphotos.com/newpor... but have not found a sample of this formatting.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Richard,

    Thank you for your message.

First, FancyBox should work nicely with Fotomoto as long as it is selected as a Script Library in the Dashboard. Please see this Support Center article on the subject.

As for how to best control which images are for sale and how, please see this article on how to use Collections to set pricing. As you noticed, you can control whether Fotomoto is enabled on certain WordPress categories using the plugin, but I'd suggest you just leave Fotomoto enabled on all categories and use Collections to determine pricing and availability.

If you still need assistance after reading the articles just let us know and please include the URL for any page you're having trouble with.

I hope that helps and kind regards,
    Derek
