I’m hopeful

I want to brand my customers orders, can I have their orders shipped to me automatically?

I'd like to have my clients orders shipped to me so I can package it with my business branding. Is that an option?

    Hi Jessica,

    We certainly understand how you might want to use custom branded packaging, and that would make a good feature request ('idea' post in this forum), but unfortunately we don't have an automatic way to support it at this time.

    In case you didn't already know, I want to mention here that products ordered via Fotomoto are in plain, unbranded packaging.

    Thanks for your response! Yes, I do know that the products get delivered in a plain packaging which I appreciate. I sure hope that this is something that Fotomoto will offer in the near future! I love the service that Fotomoto provides and want to keep it integrated with my business for years to come because it works so well. But at some point in the next 6 months I want to control what my customer gets. And if the orders ship to me I can include my other materials for them, such as referral cards, their disk's and other goodies instead of having them receive several mailings. I'm sure you can visualize how much more streamlined and professional that would look. Even if Fotomoto charge a small fee to have it shipped to me, the business owner I'd invest in that! Keep me updated if you wouldn't mind as to if that'd be a option. I'd think it'd be fairly easy to just have all orders shipped to me, but I don't know much about the back end of things, so of course I think it's easy. :)

    You're very welcome for the response, and I totally understand where you're coming from.

    This isn't something we offer right now, but it would make for a fine feature request, so I'll change this post into an 'Idea' instead of a question - this way others can 'vote' for the idea as well as add their comments.

    Our product team pays close attention to suggestions posted here...in fact, many of our current features came from Community posts just like this one.

    I think this would also be great if an artist wanted to offer something like limited edition, signed prints.

    I think this is definitely something that should be available to photographers. We work hard at branding ourselves and to follow that all the way through with the prints is a must!

    We've received a lot of feature requests from sellers who want the ability to 'customize' products before they're sent to customers - you'd asked here about branded packaging, and others have asked about signing prints, including Certificates of Authenticity, numbering editions, and more. These are all great ideas and our job is to figure out the best practical way to help all of you prosper =)

    We've been talking internally about implementing a feature currently called "Artist signed prints", and I wanted to let all of you know that it's on our road map. I can't promise a timeline or any specifics yet on how it will work, but as it looks now we'll offer an option to send order to yourself for 'customization', and we'll do our best to make it easy to re-send the order to the customer.

    I think this is something very cool to look forward to and we appreciate all of your continued support while we continue to bust out great new features.

    • How about for an upfront fee, you have a default set of templates -business card, Invoice, Sharesquare qr code, that you print out and include with the outgoing order. We send you the pdfs/eps files, scanned signature for Limited Editions/signed prints.

      I'd like to know the shipping costs and expected time of delivery with each order upfront.

      Getting it shipped to one of my locations, then shipped off again by my employees is wasting time and creating delays just for branding.
    • Hmmm... I think that's a valuable option and maybe a great way to start the process for Fotomoto. But I'd like to be able to use my own boxes and branding materials that are not printed per say, like ribbon and the custom items I sometimes include.

      I see your point about it wasting time for your employees and that gives me the feeling that your business is well established and you don't have to focus on branding as much. But for me, as a small, newer photography business I see this as a very valuable opportunity to take my client's experience one step further.

  • Definitely look forward to this feature.

    Currently the most expensive pieces that I offer must be done elsewhere, as I want total control on packaging, personalizing (signing), branding and up-selling. Would love to keep all the business in one streamline service.

    Is there been any development or change on this subject during the past 5 years? Is there a way to self brand on FotoMoto?

      Thank you for your post. Since this thread was created we have implemented a way for you to accept orders on your site and then fulfill your own orders, allowing you to brand the packaging as desired. For more on this please see our Print Fulfillment Options article.

      Note that when you have Fotomoto fulfill the orders we ship them directly to the customer from our labs in unbranded packaging as above, and there is currently no interface which would allow you to customize the packaging.
