I’m confused

Inconsistent and extra toolbars with Fancybox (custom made site)

HI,

First off, here's my site: http://scottmacpherson.net/photos/ind...

Getting odd toolbar behavior-- There's a long toolbar at the top of the page, even though I have it set to be BELOW photo. Changing back and forth from Below Image to Above Image gives weird and inconsistent results, the worst being more than one toolbar, and sometimes on just SOME of the photos. Please see screen grabs. THanks for any help!!

    I’m sorry this is less-than-ideal
    Hi theweeho,

Sorry for the bad experience here...our engineers recently confirmed that due to the way FancyBox is structured, we may not be able to put the Toolbar in the expected position without using custom CSS on a site-by-site basis to make things look the way they should. Overall, Fotomoto "works", but the presentation is not acceptable.

As you probably know, we want people who use Fotomoto to have a simple and automatic experience. This case with FancyBox is less than ideal, so we are discussing our plans on how to handle support. We either need to provide simple and clear instructions on how to custom-position the Toolbar when FancyBox is used, or officially state that we don't recommend or support using it.

For now, my suggestion is you is to use a different library if it's practical. There's a list of libraries we work correctly with at http://www.fotomoto.com/home/how. You'll note that FancyBox is *not* on the list, but as you've probably seen, it is an option offered in the Fotomoto Dashboard.

The other option for now is to write some custom CSS to position the Buy Buttons where it's desired.

Derek, Thank you for the quick reply.
I would like to use Galleria, but am also having problems with that.
    My site: http://scottmacpherson.net/galleria/
    Here's what happens:
    1. View image A; click BUY CARD; correct image (A) pops up; I'm happy...
    2. Then View image B; click BUY CARD; INcorrect image (A) pops up again; not so happy...
    3. THEN...View image C; click BUY CARD; correct image (C) pops up; happy, but confused...

and so forth, basically showing correct image every other time.

    Thoughts??

    THanks!!

    Scott

    Hi all,

Just an update regarding fancybox here - we now support up to version 3.5.2 and there is a custom Buy link in the fancybox toolbar. For more info, have a look at https://getsatisfaction.com/fotomoto/topics/fancybox-3-now-supported

Thanks as always and kind regards,
    Derek
