Is this compatible with HostGator website builder?

I haven't signed up yet ... but I'd like to. I just want to confirm that this can be used with the HostGator website builder. I don't see instructions for that. Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thank you for your post.

We don't have any official documentation on using Fotomoto with HostGator website builder, but it may well work!

What I would suggest is find out if you can put JavaScript in to your HostGator site, and if so, follow the general instructions here: http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/... to install Fotomoto, and then let me know the URL of your site and I'll be happy to check that everything is working as expected. Please note that Fotomoto should be safe to just try as it shouldn't "break" anything - it will just try and put Buy links underneath the images on your site.

Just let me know how I can help further and thanks again for getting in touch with us.

    Kind regards,
    Derek

  • So, I did sign up and tried to add the widget... and it isn't working as expected. As I'm scrolling through my images on my published website, the buy/cart toolbar is behind the images towards the top. Then, if I exit out of the enlarged photo view and go back in, you don't see the toolbar at all.

Suggestions? Do you need my store id or my website?

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your post, and I was able to find your site. I assume you're wanting to use Fotomoto on your /photography page, and the trouble there is that the gallery is using a lightbox that's not currently compatible with Fotomoto.

I'm not sure whether you're able to change the type of gallery you use, but if that's not possible, one solution would be to insert your images individually on to a page rather than putting them in as a gallery...Fotomoto should work in that case, so maybe try creating a new "test" page for that and let's see what happens.

Happy to help further, and if you prefer to ask questions in a non-public forum, feel free to contact me via http://support.fotomoto.com/customer/...

    Thanks again and kind regards,
    Derek
